I was really excited for this collection but now, not so much. I guess I gotta see more swatches and maybe even wait to see everything in store.
I only ordered 2 of the blushes FI & BH but after seeing the swatch of BH i'm starting to have my doubts. It could be the lighting but it reminds me of My Highland Honey blush. I'll go see and swatch the rest in store as well.

Just called the Mac counter @ Macy's and the MUA is going to hold Double Def. which they got in & STF she has to check if it came in because a few items from the collection are missing. Trying to stay positive hoping they'll get another shipment in.

Me too, I didn't think it would be so yellow!

Hope this does not happen to us. Mac plz have your enough stash for us.
I'm sure you'll have better supplies. We really do get ridiculously low amounts, and they don't restock.

The only upside about having the EDSF launch delayed in the US is the opportunity to see swatches from Canadians. Not much of a silver lining, but it's something.

I'm jumping ahead and posting - i still have 290 messages to read!

Yesterday i went in and tested the ED collection in my local MAC. They were missing two Skinfinishes, the same two missing on MAC on line.

BLUSHES
For those wondering about the formula, it is quite different from the eyeshadows and Skinfinishes. It's not metallic like the SFs, nor is it like standard matte or satin finish blushes. It is more powdery than the ED SF formula.

They all seemed pretty sheer - or maybe i was just using the wrong brush. I'll test again with a different brush to see if that's the issue. The only colors i was interested in were Bareness, which is muted peachy, and At Dusk, which is a warm pink, and i suspect those two colors won't fly off the shelves.

SKINFINISHES
All they had was the one, Double Definition. The upper shinier part has a metallic formula like the previous Skinfinishes, while the lower part is similar to the Blushes. In this one the upper part is a sort of golden beige - i really liked it - it is not a dupe of Whisper of Gilt. The lower part is similar to a bronzer. It is not metallic, so it is versatile. And if one wants a shiny bronzer, one can top it with the upper color.

I am very excited about the SFs and can't wait to test the other two!

EYE SHADOWS
Wow! I loved them. That said, they are pale and maybe a little sheer. I know my helpful SA was a bit disappointed in them. BUT in my opinion, they really deliver in terms of finish. I tested four - Zestful, Opalesse, Triple Impact, and Smoky Mauve. Every one has an iridescent, color changing, duo-chrome-ish quality which i think is exceptional. And I ordered all four today.

-- Zestful is not an intense lime green, so some may find it more useful. Those looking for a really strong color may be disappointed, however.
-- Opalesse is sort of ivory with a warm pinkish iridescence. I know i'll be using it close to my lash line.
-- Triple Impact is a noticeably different color from any other releases, being actually pale lavender with lavender iridescence. By comparison, Young Venus is pale pink, while Ready to Party is a cool, blue-toned pink, not really what i'd call lilac. Now i will have all three...
-- Smoky Mauve was a warm mauve, and not as dark as it looks in the pan. I didn't want a dark color, so i'm happy, but those looking for intensity may, again, be disappointed. I didn't play with it to see if it could be built up. If it can, then it will be more versatile.

Sorry, no photos, i don't know where i put my camera. I know it must be around here somewhere...

Very pretty swatches. Yes they do appear sheer, but I'm glad to see FI and BH might look ok on my skintone! And if not, RETURN they'll go! lol
Hi Cindy. Eventhough i don't know you're skintone, i'm an NC44/45 and an MUA told me the other day that both Fiery Impact and Blazing Haute will look beautiful on medium-deep skintones. Like you, if it doesn't look good or is a dupe they will be returned.

Well, when they turn it off, everything gas goes off. So no need to get into your home.

But when they turn it on, they have to make sure that everything gas gets its pilot light lit, so you have to be there to give them access to your kitchen, your water heater, your furnace, etc.

If they turned on the gas without getting in, when you came home and turned on the lights, your house could explode from the gas that was filling it up.

So I just contacted a PRO store..they said the blushes are gorgeous...when you first use them they have a waxy film on top but once you get passed that its very pigmented. I asked her what she recomended for NC30/35 and she told me I couldn't go wrong with any of them :)

I'm an NC40 and they told me the same thing about the blushes. Haha
