MAC Fashion Sets 2013 Collection (April 2013)

This was when the Reel Sexy collection was released, Heroine no lip liner nothing just the lipstick.

Could be just my skin tone. I swatched on my inside wrist, so probably even paler there. Heroine goes really purply-grey on me, even less blue in real life than in the photos, almost a bluish lavender grey. It looks much better on than swatched, at least for me, but it's quite subdued and not at all as bright as it looks in the pan.

I like the softer look on me, so I'm quite happy with it, but I think anyone looking for something intense will be disappointed, unless it's just interacting that way on me. Ablaze lipstick went super-clown on me, but Silly wasn't all that bright, so go figure! )

I finally got my Nordstrom's order, heroine l/s, silly l/s and silly l/l. I LOVE heroine, but I did find that silly applied kind of patchy. I was nervous silly wouldn't go with my skin tone, but I really liked it when I used it with the liner.

Has anyone else noticed that Ablaze literally sets the screen on fire in pics? That is a hot lip color! It's like cameras don't know what to do with it.

It has not looked garish on any of the WOC I've seen, NC or NW. I would actually say the darker you are, the more flattering it looks. I'm lean more peachy undertone naturally and yet it looks awesome.

I think it will look awesome on you. I have yet to see Ablaze be unflattering on WOC. I think Heroine and Ablaze both are show stoppers on deeper skintones. Ablaze is a little toooo bold on my NW10 skin with a heavy application, but when I use the liner and pat it on, I love it.

Those were super helpful comparison swatches. While LAP is similar to Ablaze and I am sure the formula is different for both, they are pretty close and I bet look similar on lips. On the other hand, CYY looks brighter and more fuchsia than Silly! So, one really needs both of those.

Sorry for iPhone pic. I'm actually still at the mall lol. South coast plaza nordies and Mac Pro seem to have all lippies but heroine. But that could have changed by now. I could have my ablaze and silly right now but I ordered online w the restock. Figures lol. But so long as I get them no biggie. Mac better ship lol. Hth and again sorry for bad quality swatches. My first time posting them. Btw I'm nw 18.

Ummm i went to my local macys and i tried silly on. Hate it!!! And i ordered it online so now i have to sell it. Grr. But i tried ablaze lipstick and loooove. So i bought that and the ablaze liner. The mua paired it with chicory liner and it looked great but i got ablaze liner cuz i can get chicory any other day lol
