Only got to open lavender whip yesterday and I didn't expect it to look a bit grey. from all the reviews I was expecting it to pop out as a pinky lavender on the tube. need to photograph it first before using it.

What a sweet mom!My mom went out and bought me 2 Lavender Whips and Raspberry Swirl at her local MAC just now. Gotta love her.
She also told me she bought the last ones. These lippies are definitely hot commodities!

Yup! I love my mom, she is a sweetie. She's not big on makeup but she still went out to get them....that is sooooooooooo sweet!!!

When I went to the counter this morning, the MUA told me she only had 7 LW. She said she wasn't allowed to do holds wither. I picked up LW and RS. I was seriously considering Eclair but I passed because it reminds me of one of the Maybelline Color Tattoos I have called Rich Mahogany. It was limited edition a while back. I swatched Eclair and immediately thought about my color tattoo so I left Eclair. It's really pretty though

It's amazing how little inventory they get for these collections. My SA picked up LW for me today. That's all I got and was thinking of skipping that. Didn't want remorse though.

They do, but I find the Color Tattoos to be less creamy, they are quite patchy and they don't last as long. I have 4 of them so far and while they aren't bad for a lower price, Paint Pots are sooooo much better.

I also thought eclair looks like rich mahogany but it is not. I will post swatches if I can later . Eclair is a light chocolate bronwn almost bronze looking while rich mahogany is very dark chocolate. yes color tattoos are like paint pots however sometimes mac comes with a unique color that is hard to find in color tattoo

The quality of the paint pots are better than the color tattoos. But I use mine mostly as bases so for that purpose, I skip most paint pots and go for the color tattoos. I can't wait to see the comparison of richa mahogany and eclair baby1black. Then again, it may mean that I have to purchase eclair.....we'll see

I missed out on calling my stores too b/c of the rain here in Chgo. I was stuck on my train for two hours, turned around, came home and my basement is flooded.
