MAC All About Orange Collection (June 2013)

I said this somewhere else...but this collection reminds me of an emperor penguin...the black/grey quad and the oranges...not to mention the model in the promo pics is interesting. Also I think I'll be skipping this one.

In the comments, she said Embrace Me...which I don't have but that look may have just sold me. Does anyone think they can make a guess at which brush the makeup artist used to apply the mineralized blush (at the 3:00 mark)? It was shaped like a 129, kinda, but looked stiffer and flatter.

Seriously, Lover is BEAUTIFUL. The only issue I have with Illamasqua blushes is that they are crazy pigmented but powdery as hell.

Here, the collection is only going to be launched at two places on store, I just can't wait to place my order online. I hope it launches here right after it launches on the US site.

I bought Lover in the 50% off sale, and I have been wearing it everyday since it was delivered. Such a beautiful color, but yes, super powdery.

Oh ok thanks. I have Embrace Me and will try it with Flamingo. My lips aren't as dark as the lady in this video though so I don't know if it will look the same.

Meh... I was feeling hesitant about Sushi Kiss since it's a satin finish. I find that even with stronger colours in that finish, I already dislike how pasty they look on me sometimes (maybe I swipe too many times?) I thought that with a light colour like Sushi Kiss, it might be even worse, and you have just confirmed it. So I though Flamingo would be too similar to Too Faced Juicy Melon and I know someone else here was interested to know, can't remember who though. Flamingo is much lighter and more coral.

Sushi Kiss is lighter than I expected, can't tell right now if I like it because I tried it without any makeup on my face.. washed me out. lol It looks like a milky peach? Something like that.

I will try to post swatches & reviews tomorrow for Sushi Kiss, won't have time for Flamingo and there is already a lot of swatches everywhere for this one!

So I though Flamingo would be too similar to Too Faced Juicy Melon and I know someone else here was interested to know, can't remember who though. Flamingo is much lighter and more coral.

Sushi Kiss is lighter than I expected, can't tell right now if I like it because I tried it without any makeup on my face.. washed me out. lol It looks like a milky peach? Something like that.

lol well after swatching i really like Flamingo! im glad i waited for it but this is a really great lipstick

Overall i think i like all of the ones i got. Now Sweet and Sour and Sushi Kiss on the lips are borderline milky, Sushi Kiss is what i expected from Reel Sexy when i purchased it long ago, so i can grow to love Sushi Kiss with a liner, same with Sweet and Sour. I didn't get Neon Orange though bc i saw it in the store and CCO and wasn't impressed then. overall good job MAC! i might back up a couple.

thx for the swatches.. whats your opinion on TT and RD.. your swatches look pretty different than previous ones ive seen and probably most accurate for me, kinda disappointed how ss looks now, bit too milky than expected and I think might go on streaky..?

Perhaps Sushi Kiss is a no for me. I do not need to be anymore washed out.

I just bought this a couple days ago and I love it.

It's a pretty color!! I just wish my lips weren't so full of tiny lines, all these beautiful light milky/coral/peach shades can look streaky on me and settle in the fine lines. I want smooth lips like everyone else. bouuh.
