This looks so beautiful on you! What's your foundation shade if I may ask?
I'm an NC35/ C4.
Skin twin! That's my shade too. I hope SK looks good on me as it does on you.

Well, after seeing more people wearing the lipsticks, i am confident that my choice of Flamingo will look ok on me.

But now i'm thinking of getting some other colors! Oh, you are all such temptresses and tempters!

I'm considering Sweet & Sour, which i so handily rejected last week. So i'll ask again, can anyone compare S&S with Blossom Culture and Fashion City Sheen Supreme lipsticks? I have BC and it looks pinky coral on me.

I *freaking* love my job!! Can you imagine going to work and hearing everyone talking about makeup (even the men)? Before I started, I always thought it was just marketing blah blah blah but now that I am working on an actual project that will (hopefully) become a new technology, I realise how much hard work there is that goes into a tiny tube of product. Also, some cult products actually came from my lab, and my direct boss worked on them. So when I found out, it was like meeting a rock star. The clouds parted and the angels sang. I guess you have to be a nerd and a makeup lover to understand that feeling. But the thing is, I think when you are that upstream in R&D, people aren't really that into the finished product and makeup artistry per se. Because of that, I quickly developed a reputation in some other labs for being really on point with new products and trends etc (although I really am not. I just happen to know a little more than they do). I showed up to my second day of work wearing Full Fuchsia lipstick and everyone was fascinated with it.  Anyway, I keep the size of my collection (humble by specktra standards) and online reviewing, swapping and forum activities my private business. Somehow, I feel like it makes me an even bigger nerd at work if people knew about it. I almost went into glass R&D... I submitted my application to Saint-Gobain but never heard back from them.
That is SO cool! Reading about your job put a big smile on my face! Congrats for finding a job you love!

Finally caught up with this thread. I got a cp for RS, HJ, SK and T&T. The collection turned out to be available online here so I couldn't resist and got S&S and a BU of SK. I wore Reel Sexy again and I love it more than I did last year. Since SK is close I'm sure I'll love it too. I got a BU of Betty Bright and that's very pretty too, but sometimes too pink. In my head it was ok to BU SK, because I'll probably like it better than BB and I have a BU of that too. See how easy it is to justify BU's

I can't wait to get my goodies!

Ow and all you ladies that posted pics are gorgeous! There are so many new pics, so I won't quote them all cause this post would get ridiculously long.

My MAC order came yesterday! I couldn't try any of the 5 lipsticks (SK, TT, SS, F, and TD) yet because it got too hot on my porch, but I did try Immortal Flower and I love it!! It looks so fresh and light!

You are the best!! I can understand how some shades might not be appealing to someone, but when I don't like a colour I don't leave a comment on the blog, I don't even read the review! lol I think she's just trying to hurt my feelings (or she's really dumb), she left more comments today and one of them was about how I look older than my age. Who say that kind of thing?
Your posts sooooo made me laugh. I think some people just shy away from bright colours and therefore think they look bad on everyone. I remember when I first started wearing green polish many years ago, my mother was like "ugggh what an ugly colour, it's so weird to have green nails" and then a few years later, guess what? She caught on and actually asked me to recommend her a nice sparkly green.

On the other hand, there ARE some bloggers out there who post less-than-complimentary photos of themselves, and sometimes certain colours look genuinely off on them or washes them out. You're not one of those because all your photos are always tasteful (I was not interested in Sounds Like Noise but saw your review and thought that I would at least check it out). I guess if nobody ever tells the truth, then the person will never know or improve. I don't know if this person has consistently left you comments like that, but maybe it's not coming from a bad place... at least from her point of view.
That's what I was thinking too, but then I saw the comment this morning about my age, wtf?

I was born with the wrong skintone LOL, I can hardly wear what I want when I'm my natural skintone (NC15), but with selftanner I can wear almost anything!!
Hahah I told her that I love my orange lippies because they go so well with my skintone and are so trendy right now! lol

Did you like it??

Wow that's rude to comment about your age. I was also thinking that she might just not be into bright lips and therefore not like it on others, but now it seems like she really is just being rude and b*tchy. Just ignore her or let the moderators know about it if this continues, cause you really don't have to accept that. You are beautiful and like others have said, I've never seen a lippie look bad on you.

Hi everyone! I'm new (longtime reader though
winks.gif
) and just got my Orange stuff in today. I ordered with the initial launch last week online and was lucky to get the things I wanted. I'm just hanging around the house today, but I briefly tried on the lipsticks I got (Sushi Kiss, Flamingo, and Imperial Light CSG) and so far I really like Flamingo, but Sushi Kiss I think I'll like better once I have my eye shadows and blush on too etc. I also think it looks a bit better with a gloss on top. I used Imperial Light and it made it look a little bit more "healthy" (I'm very pale, prob around NW10-15, so I have to be careful with really light colors), I'm not sure about a Satin being the best finish for that color either...lol. Anyway, here's my goodies!

Sushi Kiss, Flamingo, Imperial Light

All lippies and blushes but Flamingo & NO, and IF which I all have. Already swatched all lippies on lips! T&T is a bit too pinky-milky light for me but love them all! They'll go well with darker eyes I've been sporting of late.
