Surprised a supervisor called me back, less than 9 hours after I called. I missed it, and she was already on the phone when I called back, so now I'm waiting for a return call.

This was my 2nd email from mac. They sent me backordered notification prior to this. I guess they wanted to assure us... Maybe?! My fav is Peet's. It started here in Berkeley, by Mr. Peet, a real character, who i ran into back in the late 1960s. Now there are some Peet's in other big cities in the US and it's sold in some supermarkets. I prefer the Indonesian coffees - Sumatra, Sulawesi, and Garuda Blend - because they have a lot of body as well as flavor. I am also fond of Ethiopian which has much less body, but a nice flavor. I'm on the e-mail list, and sometimes they get coffees they don't have enough of to sell in their stores, but they sell to people on the list. I've gotten some really nice coffees that way - small production from countries in East Africa, India, and other places.

yay for Peet's coffee. I like the Guatemalan with real cream no fake ish soy or powder.

My Mom - who died last August at age 91 - wore only black cake eyeliner, forever (first Revlon, then Clinique). Heck, i wore brown cake eyeliner until earlier this millenium when i lost my favorite very fine eyeliner brush that i got in Japan in 1972... (well, i also have gold, silver, lilac, and coppery cake eye liners...)

In the late 1960s I worked hard to get her to switch to a foundation closer to her own natural color. Back in the 40s and 50s she wore pancake makeup in a shade much MUCH lighter than her own soft olive complexion. She spent a few years trying out various department store foundations. Then she found one in Clinique she liked and wore the same color from then on - when they discontinued one formula she found a similar color in another Clinique formula.

And i struggled to get her to wear a less deadening red lipstick that was really not complementary to her skin tone. In the late 60s she found a coral color Revlon lipstick she liked and she wore only that one color (can't recall the name - DC'd a few years ago) until she died.

That's it. She used her lipstick as a blush. No mascara, no eyeshadow.

I was always experimenting with colors, beginning in jr. hi. - and believe me, it wasn't easy until Mary Quant and Biba came out with some interesting stuff. The 70s were great fun - grape, lime green, navy blue with silver glitter, and pale blue with duochrome lipsticks, dark and light blues and greens in nail polishes - but mostly desperately chalky powder eye shadows. I still love playing with colors. See my sig for my age. I can't imagine wearing only one color lipstick for 50 years.

When my daughter was in high school, she and i used to go make up shopping and i was happy to let her experiment. Now she's in her early 30s, and she says she doesn't have time to wear makeup - i think that's partly because she stays up too late at night shopping on eBay and can't get up easily in the morning

Sooooo, I just got off the phone with CS and I talked to her about the emails I received about the back order. In the mist of that she goes into the 3rd collection coming out for Riri hearts. Really?! Are we really going there. But explains that the next on will be online only too? Does anyone know about this?

My thing is ....it was an active link of the site... Nobody hacked their site.... We didn't tamper with government property for crying out loud... Making us feel like criminals.... Smh

yeah really. When I talk to them, I'm going to avoid discussion of the link, & make them focus on what they did wrong

I screencapped T's post on FB just in case. not because I want to place the blame on her but rather to prove that it wasn't any big ~conspiracy~ by anyone just kinda public knowledge. they better not try to blame the board. I know I just joined but i've been creepin for years.

Yup! I remember when the UD Naked Palette originally launched, I happened to be in the US at the time. I hunted that baby down high and low in the area I was in. I called and went to every store within a 50 mile radius and then found them online at Ulta after they'd originally sold out. I bought 2. One for me, one for my Mom. My Moms is STILL sitting in the box, completely unopened and untouched. I bought a Stila eyeliner, some gorgeous blue/teal shade and she was there and loved the colour, bought her one too -- not used.

For the present time I've given up hope. I know a lot of it is her health issues and some other personal issues, but I hope that one day she'll be into it and will share the love of it with me.

if i ever have a daughter i'll take her to Mac and Sephora and tell her ''sweety life may sometimes get hard but we'll always have makeup,enjoy"

& said she basically was not allowed to give me any other information about my order other than it was sent on to management. So I'm like the first 2 cs people told me the other day that I was for sure getting the RRB & it was shipping out to me but its staying in limbo & I'm not getting off the phone until you tell me

Puts me on hold & comes back to tell me that a supervisor okd for her to tell me that yes I will be getting it but management will be calling me. I said well I better get the other one with my order because it was NOT bo when I ordered it.

Do I need to get a lawyer to talk with management when they call geesh

Wow! They won't even tell you what's going on anymore. Look MAC, you are not the FBI, CIA, NCIS, CSI, DEA or any other form of justice agency, get over yourself!

Well, i'm not prepared to stake my life on it. Could be Sept. i suppose, although some other "Fall" collections are definitely scheduled to come out in August.

Then there's the RiRi Holiday collection - didn't part one of Glamour Daze come out in Oct? So Oct would be too late for a Fall collection.

But, hey, who knows anymore! MAC seems to be having issues getting some non-RiRi collections out this month...

In a group i am in there was a girl who works for MAC who said the fall collection comes out the first week in Oct? didnt say a date tho
