im a NC15 and really tempted to get adored MSF what do you girls think? im trying to be good and tell myself i dont need it but idk....thoughts??
I dunno about that description - it's not one of those pinkie rose tones, but "burnt" is going too far - it's not a dirty color or even brown or brick leaning. On my cheeks, it goes on a pretty straight-forward mid-tone berry with a bit of brightness - like the color that stains your hand when you crush dark red rose petals (like a Mr. Lincoln rose) with your fingers. Also that bit about "peach/gold pearl" - I honestly didn't see any gold, either in the pan or applied to my cheeks. It was a warmer peach, not a white pastel, but no obvious gilding or yellow or bronzy gold bits.
SS is a bit lighter and brighter pink than Simmer, more of a Hot Nights color but sheerer. I was going to skip it, but the sheer quality and the beige sheen were really too nice to pass up. It'll be good for daytime when something like Hot Nights, Supernova or Passionately Tempted is too dramatic (those are my 3 other bright fuchsia/magenta pink blushes - I am really picky about that particular blush color and can't abide any trace of powderiness - I will skippity-skip this shade unless it fuses perfectly with my natural skin texture, so this is why I like SS).
I love MSFs but as far as a mineralized blush I still have Flaming Chic still in the box that I have yet to wear only swatched.Ugh now I find myself wanting to try the skin finishes and blushes since I never tried mineralized products. I have no idea what to get.
If you've never tried Mineralize before, don't impulse buy these online!Ugh now I find myself wanting to try the skin finishes and blushes since I never tried mineralized products. I have no idea what to get.
I think you should give Studio Fix powder a try. You can dust it on with a brush for lighter coverage or use the sponge it comes with for heavier coverage. When I first began using it years ago it was little 'powdery' or 'cakey' so I'd just pat my face lightly with a damp cloth and that would take away that powdery/cakey look immediately, but now I just spritz with Fix+. I use SF powder when I'm really trying to do fast makeup.I hardly wear foundation, I'm more of a bb cream/tm kind girl for everyday. But when I do choose to wear foundation to me the SFF is too much coverage. Like I'm going for a photo shoot or something. Plus in the winter my NW45 was wayyyy too orange for my liking, It's in a good match in the summer though. I've never used the SF powder though nor I have never even heard of Careblend. Whenever I do the foundation finder on their site, it suggest the Studio Tech
Really? Maybe I should readdress it now that my skin has changed. I think it's the pregnancy that has caused this change though. I was looking for powder because I figured it'd be faster to do in the AM before work. I like medium coverage with semi matte-dewy finishes.
That's how I feel!

Welcome! Love your username! Represent!!! OAN: I couldn't help it. I ordered calypso beat and fever isle, since those are two things I probably won't need to test on myself first. I justified it as my husband's birthday gift to me. and got overnight shipping!!!Hi everyone (a newbie here)! :stars: I ordered Rio. Hope is not too dark for my NC30 skin.
Another good one for "medium coverage with semi matte-dewy finishes" is the new Mineralize Moisture SPF15 foundation, although it's more light-to-medium coverage than medium-to-full. It's got an absolutely perfect natural skin finish that isn't matte or dewy, just fresh and healthy, plus it's crazy good for smoothing out pores and not creasing under the eyes or around the nose. It goes on like a gel-liquid hybrid. I'm not much of a liquid foundation person, but I'm buying a bottle of this when I finish up the giant sample my MA doled out.I think you should give Studio Fix powder a try. Lol. Yep I am. Seductive intent, strong woman, heroine, lavender whip, RRB, Feel My Pulse. That's too many purples. Lol. There can never be too many purples!!!
This changed things!http://statigr.am/p/485585175661806407_31880287
Actually kinda glad I don't feel like I missed out on anything skipping this. I was thinking about Heroine liner but left it in my cart too long and it sold out. The rest would have been impulse buys. I just got a package today that I forgot what was actually in it lol. So skipping something feels like a breath of fresh air! This changed things!
You're welcome. I had been thinking about trying that mineralized charged water. Let me know how you like it.Ok I had considered this as well. Thanks for the recommendation Copperhead. And yes girl, I LIVE for my fix plus and also the Skindinavia setting spray. Brings the whole natural look back. Most of my MAC empties is the FP bottle alone. Today I just got the mineralized charged water though to change it up a bit. Hoping I will love that just as much.
I've finally got around to giving my UD spray a chance (it's Skindinavia repackaged for Urban Decay)...finally think I like it. I've never used Fix+ as a setting spray on myself. Never think about it...and to be honest I forget I have the bottle!Ok I had considered this as well. Thanks for the recommendation Copperhead. Oooh! You're gonna be in trouble with them!!! They'll have you on the "Do Not Sell To..." List and everything lolOh my goodness...I cannot believe MAC CS hboy: I called a bit ago to ask if they were going to take the blushes off of the Coming Soon & at first, he says they are sold out. I said no they aren't they were changing things because the descriptions were wrong. I told him that people had ordered them earlier & called to tell CS that the description/pictures were wrong...he rudely says, 'you cannot believe what you read on those sites on the internet'  'if it doesn't come from MAC Corporate than it isn't true' :thud: I said 'dude....I know these people that ordered them & they are not liars, what an insult to say that about them!' So he puts me on hold goes to check..............bingo, he learns that what I told him was right. So I said well, MAC Corporate didn't know they were switched, the liars on the internet did (tongue in cheek). :haha: Anyhoo, now they have to check inventory on them. Probably because they were screwed up :worms:
