I'm crossing my fingers mine has a decent amount of blue! If not I'll be tempted to purchase one in store that does. I won't be disappointed with the brown color, but I'm really looking forward to the blue shade.

I like the deep blue green in Cha Cha Cha. Damn. I love the look they did in that video posted with the TT event where a model was getting her makeup done. I was under the impression it was Bossa Blue when we first saw the IG photo, but I'm pretty sure they used Cha Cha Cha on her in the video. This is my main temptation when it comes to that eyeshadow. Otherwise I'd surely pass esp. because I don't use Water that often from HC. Maybe I should just look for regular eyeshadow shades that match the two separate ones in Cha Cha Cha.

I really like the green part of Cha Cha Cha, haha is there a comparable permanent shade?

After seeing the lip swatch of midnight mambo on beautezine I'm sooo glad I skipped it and got cha cha cha instead, I can get the same or even better color payoff from a drugstore lipstick for less than half the price. Sorry mac this was your one chance to convince me about this mineralized lipsticks of yours and you failed

Yayyyyyy I just got an email from CS and since there was an error on the website with the blushes, they will send me Simmer too (I ordered Sweet Samba) because they weren't sure which I wanted (the image for each blush was the wrong one) and they apologized for the confusion. This made my day! Now if my order could ship soon!

Me too! Me too!
Do the Happy Banana Dance!

I have to say this is very unusual for MAC to do! We have all experienced order goofs before! Comes with online retail. And no matter the error I would still be a MAC fan and customer. However I think it is very generous to send out a gratis product. Not many companies would do this! So not only am I a fan but now a loyal customer that will speak good on the company.

Those of you who got the chance to test the shadows, do you guys think Tropica and or Time to Tango would work on deeper complexions....Im an nc44 and would hate to look like a hooker from the 80's

From what I saw in the video, they used bosa blue and then cha cha cha right in the center of her lid. I'm pretty sure.... If I remember correctly lol!
That's what I thought at first. And then in products used it only said Cha Cha Cha and didn't list Bossa Blue. Maybe it was overlooked. Also, the blog it was on wasn't in English so maybe I didn't understand it right.

Oh, you got Adored. What else did you order? I've been LOVIN the combo you gave me! Naked is so beautiful. :eyelove: :naughty:
Just adored and the 159. Mine will be here tomorrow! Have to tried naked as a cheek highlight yet? Sooo pretty!
I'm really impressed that they've done this. I honestly think they're doing some "clean up" because of the recent fiascos with MAC, and YAY FREE BLUSH!
Actually, MAC has always done this. It's nothing new.

I'm happy for all the folks who got in on the blush boo boo because both SS and Simmer are really great and otherwise a lot of people would have only gotten one or the other!

Also, the brown in Bossa Blue is a really nice shade with a great, non-sparkly texture - it's very sexy but not too much for daytime at all! At least at my store, I pawed through some boxes of them and they were mostly very good about having a nice big blue half and a nice big brown half. I mentioned this before, but some of the colors won't even matter about swirl hunting - Dare To Bare, Carribbean and Tropica are very blended together just naturally, but there's always swirl perfection - I don't think it's too much to worry about with these particular shades though - the colors are very close to begin with, unlike Cha Cha Cha or Bossa Blue. Time To Tango is sort of halfway between the extremes and can go either way.

As for the MSFs, you REALLY won't need to swirl hunt on them - they're all blended together quite well and are also sheer. The very colorful part is just in the highlight when they catch the light anyhow, rather than being very opaque like a blush. Adored was maybe the most swirl-hunty of them, but the style of these makes swirls much less important. Trust me on this!

The blushes I saw were all quite good about being pretty much half and half - i looked through some boxes. Plus again, they're better when you use the whole pan to take product because the more sparkly color half that's used for adding sheen to the finished result is quite sheer - even though they look colorful in the pan. If you took from that half only, you're not going to get much color - it'll be highlight only.

I still think people should try this collection in person - I still haven't seen any swatches that really capture the full beauty of any of the products or even the true color effects. Xasperadastra's come pretty close, though - especially on the blushes! These are going to be incredibly difficult to photograph in a swatch - even full face is going to be tricky! The good news is everything is very special and people are going to be happy with their blushes and MSFs for sure, since I'm pretty sure the people who don't do metallic have already gotten plenty of warning from me

The MSFs and blushes aren't glittery sweetcheeks - turn that frown upside down.

Did you like the finish on the Apres Chic blushes? The paler parts of the MBs are like those and the colored portions are more satin (except for Exotic Ember which is close to the same Apres Chic texture for both halves).

The MSFs are just 100% smooth metallic, especially Rio and Adored. So smooth, they didn't emphasize my pores like MSFs of yore, such as Stereo Rose and Petticoat. You can easily use them dry, which is even better!
