RiRi Hearts MAC Summer Collection (June 18, 2013)

My RRW BU arrived yesterday.  I thought I'd take a peek BEFORE I put it in the fridge.  I was like, "Please don't be broken! Please don't be broken! Please don't be broken!" and it wasn't... but it arrived with a thick white waxy coat on the side.  My Oh, Oh, Oh BU was perfectly fine though, so I'm guessing it's the formula?  I'm a bit behind on this thread again, but from what I've read so far, I'm not the only one who received a lipstick like this.  It looks like some kind of wax or grease?  WTF, MAC?  :???:

I don't recall anyone reporting this during the original RRW release...but of course it wasn't as hot as it is now. So on the waxy issue I think that may be heat related or MAC just got a horrible batch of these lippies across the board this time around. My RRW bu luckily didn't have this issue...nor my Heaux or RRB (had to check that one to see if I missed the wax due to the forcus being on the actual damage but it doesn't have anything waxy on it). Has anyone that contacted MAC about it been given any clue as to what it may be?

Mac must be catching up with all emails. I got this in reply to the one I sent them regarding my first RiRi order. Dear Ms. Martinez, Thank you for taking the time to contact M.A.C. So i get an email from MAC telling me to call about one of my orders that has been wrongfully cancelled. This order was for my sister and had hibiscus kiss in it. They connected me to a supervisor fairly quickly and she told me they will ship out hibiscus kiss overnight and they will ship out the lipsticks as soon as they get shipment in.

That's really good! I am waiting on my BO lippies too.

Ugghhh!!! All this pics with RiRi Boy are so gorgeous and I am so jealous that I have to wait until Mid-July!!!!!

Anywho, I finally took a pic of me wearing my RiRi Woo. Am I the only one not satisfied with how much this lippie transfers to other stuff? I am used to my matte's staining my lips and not transferring alot. But this is my first matte with MAC. Is this normal for their lippies or is this happening because it's retro matte? Excuse the shine and baby face on the side. I was just getting home from work..LOL

Heauxing it up. A bit more berry in person, its just a couldy rainy day outside so i couldn't find good lighting. I love the colour and the formula!

I need to try Naked Dark and Deep Dark. I only have a sample of Naked.

So, I gave in to the urge and came out with another 159 brush, a 167 brush (can't believe they still had one!), and some golden elixir strobe liquid (I think I blam Coppehead for that one - I can't remember). That's enough! Plus, my Naked Dark and Naked Deep Dark pigments came this morning and there was another RiRi Woo in the package. It must have been sitting in my cart. I am good for today lol.

@butterflyeyes, That's kind of how it happens for me. It comes off on everything, but still looks solid on the lips. I don't know what's worse, the red marks on my son's forehead or my husband with red lips..LOL

I'll put them in the freezer when they get here before even opening them and hope for the best.

That's exactly what I'm doing - waiting on a bunch of MAC to arrive (hopefully on the 3rd, I paid for express shipping) via hopshop go.... so many lippies - freezer them all, I say!

And I finally received a response from MAC regarding an email I sent on 06/18 regarding cancellations. I like how they keep insisting there was "no technical error" on their part... and someone apparently snitched expressed concerns about "unfairly gained early access". Whatever, MAC! This is why I don't even feel like hauling TT right now.

Please accept our sincere apologies for any upset that has been caused. We appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns. We are very sorry that the email cancellation for your order did not reach you and we are looking into what may have happened with our fulfillment provider. Thank you for allowing us to explain that the collection was not available to the public on our site at the time your order was placed. Individuals, using technological means to circumvent our site, were able to gain access to the collection prior to the time of launch. The instructions on how to "find" the collection were then posted on other web sites. The link that was used to gain access to the site was not posted nor sanctioned by MAC Cosmetics. There was no technical error on our part and our intention in cancelling the orders was to keep the process for purchasing a limited collection as fair as possible.With so many MAC fans clamoring to purchase this collection and the concerns that were expressed when they believed others had unfairly gained early access to the collection prompted the decision.
