I had sent someone to Macy's to get my items for me. At first, when I called them (Macy's) they were still under the impression that TT launches on Jul 4th. I was asked to hold on for a bit and then she returned to tell me, yes, it does launch today . I will go to Nordstrom tomorrow evening to get some additional items so it should be available everywhere today.
Even though they told me next week I decided to go to my Macy's this morning and what do you know...Tropical Taboo display was out. They said they just told them this morning to launce the collection today. I got 159 ,rio ,simmer ,tropica, EE. EE may go back.

The crazy thing is they said they only got 3 of the MSF. I told them that's because the other 2 gold deposit and soft and gentle are permanent. Then they put those 2 on the display with the others !!!!!! Dam do I work for Mac ????!!!!!! Lol

The blushes and the MSFs really are special, and unlike other ones. As Erine implied, there is a certain relationship between these MSFs and the EDSFs. But they are not the same. I'd say they really need to be seen and tested in person.

The eyeshadows are not so special. I mean, some are beautiful, but there is nothing so terribly different about them compared to previous Mineralize collections. So I'm repeating my review of the eye shadows. I don't like very dark shadows on my eyes, so they generally don't get a big thumbs up from me unless there's something amazing about them. Additionally, i do like glitter and shimmer and sparkle, but if you're not a fan of glitter, you probably won't like at least half of them.

I tested them DRY from lightest to darkest. They behave differently when wet, but i couldn't test them that way. All have fine glitter, some had more annoying glitter than others. All seem to be somewhat striated, so it's likely you can get each color out separately if you want to.

Dare to Bare - It may be "just another cream" as another reviewer said, but, well, i love it. In the pan it is creamy ivory and pale cool lavender. It goes on smoothly, the lavender gives a hint of color in some lights, and the sheen is ever so slightly pinkish. This is a very basic color for me, the kind i wear daily. I got this one.

Caribbean - i love pink eye shadows! But not this one. It was dry and the color went on patchy. At first, all i could see was the coppery glitter. It was a disappointment. I don't hate it, but it is definitely not at the top of my list.

Tropica - first you broke my heart by not being a lip liner, but you made up of it by being beautiful. It's a light-medium cool lavender with a lovely blue duochrome sheen. It went on smoothly with good coverage. Glitter is minimal. To me, this is the very best of the e/s in this collection. You are forgiven! Come to Mama!

Time to Tango - Blended together the cool violet and bronzy beige make a warm mauve-y/taupe-y lavender. It is almost neutral, so i think it will be very versatile. It has a fair bit of glitter, but it seems to enhance rather than detract from the shadow. I got it.

Cha-cha-cha - The chartreuse-yellow part was not as pigmented as i hoped, and the dark part was, well, dark, and not very distinct. Blended it made a dark khaki green. It was minimally glittery. I did not find it exciting.

Bossa Blue - I wasn't really sold on the two colors individually to begin with, but i like to give everything a try. You never know when something will be a pleasant surprise. Sadly, this was not one of those. Each color went on dry and patchy, and they were quite difficult to blend. It has minimal glitter, although the dark cerulean blue has some sheen. On me it just looked kinda dirty. It went to the bottom of my list.

Well, if they are MAC colors, they are most likely from the same collection so they really should go together! If they don't, you should blame MAC
lol.gif
When she wears other brands, I think she is just multi-tasking and trying to swatch/review/test multiple products at the same time. I try not to hold it against her

Collections often have several lipsticks, eye and cheek colors. So while there are usually colors that will go together, that doesn't mean one can't choose a grouping of colors that really don't.

I am amazed that she manages to test and photograph so many colors! And i do appreciate what she does - it's just that sometimes i'm a little disappointed, especially when she has a bright eye liner, too much cheek color, and a different bright lipstick...

I missed it. What was Erine's cream blush technique???

We can share Erine
girlhaha.gif
I'm sure you already do it!!! Erine said to put on cream blush first and then foundation. I was afraid to try it, but I over came my stupid insecurity and
did it. I started out with MAC Optimistic Orange and then applied my Chanel Perfection Lumiére foundation, and it was flawless. Now that I have my
technique down, I can move on to my Chanel cream blushes.

Heroine made me pull out my poor neglected FMP (how could I have forgotten about this beauty? Guess it's back to Dillard's to pick up another Heroine. Love it and kicking myself for letting it sit in my cart for too long and letting it sell out. Magenta is ok but it's no Heroine lol

Hi there! Loooonggggg time lurker who finally got the guts to join. I just received my 159 brush today and there's random long black hairs sticking out past the white ends. Is that normal or should I exchange it?

What do you guys think of the Orpheus kohl eye pencil? I got it today but am thinking of returning it and getting adored instead. Could I get the same same look of Orpheus if I were to just use an eyeshadow? Does it have good staying power?
