I especially love Prolongwear concealer, by far the best one I've tried. I use it under eyes, it has great coverage and it's the only one that does not crease on me.

There needs to be a thumbs down button.
I know! They JUST went up a $1 at the beginning of the year too! And a dollar last summer. It's bullshit! I get why MAC is doing their price increases. They do it twice a year, every year. Their reasoning is a lie, but it's a lie people fall for, and a lie they accept. But a $1 every 6 months!? :jerkit:

It's got a bit less coverage and a natural finish, compared to SFF's medium-full, natural-matte. It wears much longer than SFF too. Both are good for oily skin-SFF cuz of the matte finish, PLW cuz of the dry down factor.
Thank you Erine, you have been very helpful. When I asked the girl at the counter all she said was "Oh both are good" lol.......on the other hand F U mac $1.50 increase!!

What's their reasoning? >> I can see how they'd get away with it, tbh. The average consumer probably wouldn't even notice the price increase, considering they wouldn't be replacing their products that often, I guess?

They state that it's to balance an increase in ingredients and supplies. Sorry, but ingredients and supplies don't increase steadily and on a 6 month/yearly increment.

Maybe they're working on a reformulation? Who knows? Their statement could mean a variety of things.

It's the exact same formula, no difference whatsoever. And that statement applies to every price increase for every item. No other cosmetic company increases their prices as much/as often as mac. We always discuss it every time. They're slowly becoming a higher high end brand, while their overall quality declines. They do have products that are phenomenal, but there a definite decline in many products over the years, and the price doesn't reflect that at all. :(

How long have we been complaining about the quality of the quads?! And yet some brands(like our favorite polish brand) is making amazingly cheap products with absolutely no problem.

I have maybe a dozen paint pots and just about a dozen aqua creams by MUFE. Unless there's some extraordinary color coming up, I can skip the new paint pots with the price hike. It's getting ridiculous. Pretty soon Mac will charge the same amount for everything as Chanel or Nars and when it comes down to it, I'll choose those two over Mac, easily.

I am glad I am not interested in any of these pps (of course I could still end up buying one). So will Painterly be more $$ too. I was thinking of buying that again.

I know, right? I really like those two brands too and have chosen buying products from them over MAC before. :/
