MAC Tropical Taboo Collection (2013)

I got Maybelline Mirrored Plum today and I like it more than Narcissus. I will probably be taking it back since I can't justify a $20 lip gloss when I have a drugstore item just like it.

I don't know how various wipes are priced in Europe. In the US the price per wipe of the small pkg. of MAC wipes makes them expensive. But the price per wipe of the big pkg. puts them close to most drugstore brands. Once i open mine i leave the sticky seal in and close it carefully, then store them upside down in a ziploc baggie, so they don't dry out too fast.

The big pack here is €32. I buy drugstore wipes of €2 which has 25pc in it. So the big Mac pack is 4 times the prices the same amount of wipes would be at the drugstore. For me that's too much.

Adored is still my favourite thing from this collection (along with the 159!) but I did pick up TTT MES at the weekend. It's such a pretty mix of purple and goldy-taupe, but I keep on getting sparkles all over my face! I've never had that with an MES before. I think I need to play around with it and see what works best.

The freebie ended up being Sweet Samba. And to my surprise and delight I really like it!
Darker & more pigmented than I originally believed. It is a nice addition to my mineralize collection!

Which ones do you use? I haven't found great wipes so far so I'd love to hear some recommendations.

I use the ones from kruidvat for normal to combi skin. I always make sure to close the package well and keep them upside down.

Earlier this year, there were a lot of products that are gorgeous on pale NW complexions, so I rather be picky and choose the right products that buy something for the sake of buying. I'm also certain there will be a mineralize collection that is less warm-toned. MAC always alternates.

I have been trying to take lessons from your attitude towards it all, and my purchases have gone way, way down this year compared to 2012 and 2011. I'm a collector in general though, so sometimes it is hard!

Space is at a premium for me, so it has helped on that front a lot. My wallet thanks you as well.
