I've heard that they're okay but are they really? I'm not sure if people are talking about the regular ELF brushes or the studio..

I think both lines are pretty good, not GREAT, but some are worth the few bucks. Some of the regular elf (white handle) ones can be pretty scratchy and shed a lot. The studio line (all black) is better quality but some of them can be flimsy. you can find youtube reviews on which ones are worth getting. I can only personally recommend the contouring eye brush, the "c" eye shadow brush, and the blush brush from the studio line.

I have only tried the white handles ones, and I didn't like them at all. The black handled ones from the Studio line might be better, and I have heard people raving about them. I do think I'd just invest in some Sigma brushes instead.

I'd prefer ELF Studio over Sigma brushes
I love my ELF blending brush more than my MAC, Sonia Kashuk, and Revlon one.

I have the elf studio powder and contour (angled face brush) brushes and I don't like them. They are scratchy and if you let them dry without their covers they open out. Not too dense either. They shed. My powder brush came in with a strip of white plastic in it and I'm thinking it was a strip that didn't get cut down and dyed. I don't use them anymore after using them for a week. I like the studio eyeshadow brush though, I bought two of them. I can't really complain because they cost 1 dollar each.

I have one of the white-handled eyeshadow brushes. I'm not sure what it's *actually* supposed to be, but it's a great blending brush. I got what was supposed to be a liner brush and it totally sucks. I don't use it. I mean, they're a dollar a piece and you get what you pay for .... but I don't mind them, mostly cos they totally fit my budget lol.

Lots of Youtube videos on these.

I loved the white shadow brush, the 239 dupe. The black liner brush is too fine, but nice. It was say half the width of my 266. The eyelash curler was awful. That's all I've tried.

I got the white handled brushes as a gift from a family member and I absolutely hated every single one of them. SCRATCHY!!!!!! I don't have sensitive skin so for me to say that means alot. However I did buy some of the studio ( black handled ) brushes when they had that 75% off the studio line. I like some of them alot! The powder brush, angled eyeliner, and c brush are great. The fan brush while soft is just plain flimsy. In short skip the white brushes and get a few of the black ones.

I have almost all to the ELF brushes from the regular line and the studio line. The eyeshadow and contour (I like these both better than my MAC brushes) brushes from the regular line are awesome. The larger brushes from the regular line are not very good, mine were very scratchy. The contour brush from the studio line was not very good because of it's design. Most of the larger brushes from the studio line are very nice but some of them do not work well for what they were designed for. The blush brush actually makes a horrible blush brush but it's good for contouring.

^ I'm gonna try some more brushes, but only if ELF sends me another code, idk if it's just me, or if that 75% off thing is just not working

I love the Studio Line brushes(especially the powder brush) and the blending brush & eyeshadow brush from the regular work just fine to me. I didn't find them scratchy at all.

You have to try things out for yourself because everything doesn't work for everybody.

I have a few elf and sonia kashuk and I like them a lot. I also have a few mac and I like them too. I'm not a pro by any means but they get the job done at a decent price.

IMO, not really. I think the $1 brushes largely suck. The Studio ones are better, but I wouldn't use any of those eye brushes for blending. If you want some inexpensive blending brushes, go with a brand like Zoeva or Sigma.

Thanks for the response I'm a newbie on Spectra. I have heard of Sigma brushes and plan on making a purchase with them soon. Which blending brushes from Zoeva do you have/recommend?

This one is pretty similar to MAC's 217 and Sigma's E25 and is less expensive than either/or... https://www.zoeva-shop.de/en/brushes-accessories/eye-brushes/227-soft-definer/a-8000126/ And here are all the Zoeva eye brushes... https://www.zoeva-shop.de/en/brushes-accessories/eye-brushes/ From Sigma, I've read good things about the E40.
