Guerlain discussion

The holiday Meteorites packaging is so cute and I want it but I don't think those are the colors for me. I'm really pale and my biggest skin issue is redness so I'm very wary of anything that's too pinky when it comes to highlighters bc usually I feel like it just makes my face look like my redness is showing through

I wear 2 pumps 01 mixed with a half pump 02 in tenue de perfection so i'd agree with this, do 01 if you want that full coverage matte because I feel like this new foundation TDP oxidizes darker than LDP and the 02 is just too dark

I'm NC15/20 as well, probably around 18. I wear LDP in 01. It goes on initially closer to NC15 but oxidizes a lot on me to around NC20. I also tried Parure De Lumiere and it oxidizes less. I got samples in 01 and 02 for parure de lumiere. I usually wear half pump of each. I find parure de lumiere to be a bit lighter/oxidizes less than LDP. It's a lot more lumimous. LDP has a natural finish in comparison. I want to try the new tenue de perfection but I'll probably wait for reviews or when sephora gets it.

i liked parure de lumiere much better than ldp. i got it in 02, and it was too dark. at the time they didn't have 01

I pretty much would be fine with having to wear any Guerlain foundation. I have almost full bottles of Armani luminous silk foundation and MUFE HD foundation that I never touch because I always go for LDP... Maybe I will add a bottle of PDL next time I hit up the counter for the Holiday collection

Does anyone here have Chanel esprit? I was wondering how it compared to Madame batifole. Still on the fence, but I absolutely love the color...just don't know if it is splurge worth making. I'm nc15 for reference. )

I have Esprit and I'm going to get Madame Batifole, but the collection hasn't released here yet. I think Esprit is darker.

They're not really close. Esprit is slightly sheer, whereas Batifole is completely opaque, much pinker and brighter. I actually think that Esprit is a bit closer to Madame Flirte (although still fairly different).

Has anyone seen Madame Rougit on someone darker? I'm trying to decide if I need to pick it up tomorrow during triple points at Nordstrom. I get this feeling it may be too light for me.

Here are the promotional pictures, names and color descriptions for the Holiday collection. I believe there isn't everything.

Thanks for posting. To me it's in very poor taste, Guerlain went on the cheap side I think !

I'm not sure. It is very different, but I don't necessarily get "cheap". I think it seems like a real sideways leap for Guerlain, who I normally think of as more conservative and restrained, but part of me kind of gets a kick out of the sort of disco kitsch of it. It's like watching the most buttoned-down person in an office get drunk and dance on a table at the Christmas party or something.

Well it is called Crazy Paris for a reason. I'd be all over that palette if the pigmentation was up there and the shades were a little different. I dug out my Liu palette and 2 of the colours seem really similar to me.

Other than the nail polish, I will get the plum RA! I don't need to see it to know I want it.

Totally agree. I wish they'd put some oomph behind the pink shade to go along with the bright pink colours. And why not give one of the liners some sparkle or lustre? It's too bad because the one problem I have with Liu is that it's too shimmery for me to wear all at once and I like the inclusion of a couple of matte or satin shades in this palette.

I'm definitely interested in Provocative. I'm curious to see how different Reflex is, since they look almost identical in the photo. A "subtly sparkling plum" seems to have my name stamped all over it, although the last thing I need is another shade in that family. I'm not sure. I was cracking up reading this, you are so spot on with the buttoned-down person getting drunk analogy!!!! I love LE bronzers so perhaps I would consider that one?!? hope it is not too sheer!

Not to pull us back to fall, but I wanted to share my thoughts on the stuff I got. This is my guest guerlain. I got madame reve lipstick, and I really like it, but tits an everyday color in a giant bulky case. Not sorry I got it though. I also got madame batifole lipstick. Gorgeous. Love it. Same with madame batifole bail polish. I love the bottle shape. I got madame rougit, after. Lot of debate. I fingers watched it in the store, and wasn't impressed. Then I read that you had to use a blush and actually apply it, so I finally ordered it. It's lovely. Such a natural pink flush that lasts all day. I'm not keen on the scent though. I thought it would smell nice, but it smells like rimmel lipsticks. Bleh. Worth it though. I got amber silver eyeliner, and it's such a pretty color. I was excited to put it in my waterline, but it won't go! I have to put it in my lash line instead. I have really watery eyes though, maybe that's why. Still a lovely color. Lastly I got two gossip eyeshadow duo. It's great. The gold is smooth with little to no fall out, and the purple is wonderful. I. love it. They go on like butter and blend well
