Today I pre-ordered:
you got it c/s
flair for finery l/s - on me is a very pretty everyday light pink which didn't wash me out like some of the other recent pinks.
private party l/s - which on me looks like glamourdaze l/s but more pinkish. soooo pretty.
lavish living blush - no words, just so pretty and different from everything else I own.

for me (i'm NC15), the MSF's were too shimmery and the eyeshadows from stroke of midnight were like last years holiday palettes where the quality and colors were slightly off from the originals so I passed on them. Everything looks so different in person than any of the swatches I've seen online. The MES's are way prettier in person I'm just more of a matte girl or i'd have bought them all.

YAY!! so excited

I'm not Liba, but I use Benefit's Powderflage to set my undereye concealer. Have you ever tried it? Maybe grab a sample from Sephora & try it.
I do also use the Marilyn powder for my undereyes. But before that came along, I used Powderflage exclusively. It's a pink tinted loose powder in a small circular jar.
HTH! Although, I'm trying to find reasons to get these MSF's too... HeeHee
I personally didn't love Forever Marilyn under my eyes - I have puffy bags and the texture was a teeny bit heavy and matte for those mega-puffers. My favorite under eye product is the Prep & prime Vibrancy Eye. Even if i'm not wearing other makeup, VE goes on those puffs. For powder under the eye, I still love Elude the best and also just my plain old Careblend Powder, which gives me just the right amount of coverage without ever looking like it's just sitting on my bags like miss muffet on a tuffet.

CoA's main color is sheer - it may be a little sheer to deal with under my eyes, but one thing - the texture is so beautiful - it's the lightest, least powdery texture I've ever seen in an MSF or even a beauty powder. It's almost like a translucent powder, with a faint hint of pink. I think it's really special but swatches aren't gonna cut it, Need to just see it in person to decide if the coverage is enough.

I agree, I love Mineralize eyeshadows in general, they're actually the only eyeshadows I like from Mac, the regular ones don't show up that well on me for some reason! Must just be my chemistry lol. The only Mineralize shadow I've had an issue with is Frost at Midnight from Après Chic. Such a pretty color but I can't get it to show up no matter what I try! All my others I love
I have the same problem with that one...and the thing is that was the first time I caved and bought a MES in years so now I'm kind of against them even though I know I shouldn't be. I really want to try out the black and royal blue MES from this collex

After reading all the lovely comments... my list was cut down dramatically.

Ive decided to get

Private Party LS ( i am a sucker for purple)
Flair For Finery LS
Exclusive Event LS ( i missed out on Nude so i feel the need to get this)
Living Lavish MB

i am still on the fence with Perfectly Poised MSF. I love MSF but i have purchased so many that didn't do anything for me so i don't want to splurge and not use it. I have LightYear MSF and that doesnt do it for me. So maybe i should skip PP. I've just been waiting for some new MSF to release and i feel like thats the only reason why i would by any of these MSFs. Im more of a The Balm Mary Loumanizer, soft and gentle, and WOG type of girl.

Thank you Ladies for sharing all your thoughts and information! It helped me a lot because i really have no self control.

Lol that's it, I need an excuse to buy it! I actually use powderflage too but they aren't selling it at Sephora or Ulta anymore. It's not on the Benefit displays anymore. It on the Benefit website, but I'm afraid that once it sells out, that's it. I was thinking of trying Ben Nye Cameo powder too.
I do recall at one point Benefit reps thinking it might be discontinued. But that was over a year ago. And I have been reassured several times it's not now. But I know what you mean, it does get stressful trying to track down an everyday product. And if it DOES get DC I'll have to start over there too! Liba mentioned the Careblend powder... I've seen some YouTube gurus using a lighter shade of that under their eyes too. So maybe that will be my next try! If you try the Ben Nye ... Please share your thoughts!

You can't really use the main color as a (subtle) shimmery highlighter? You said it's like LY without the gold swirl and that one is still shimmery? And might skip Lured To Love after all. You said in the PC thread that it's really sheer (but buildable) so I guess I should stick with my Supercontinental.
You could use it to highlight, but the main color isn't shimmery - it goes on a little satiny, like a natural skin matte. If you already own Supercontinental and are happy with it, you don't really need LTL. I skipped Supercontinental because it was too powdery on me, so I'm excited for LTL, BUT I may still skip it to save $$$ for the Extra Dimension blushes. LTL will be much less glowy than those will be, though.
Thank you so much Liba, you saved me from buying a lot of (for me) unnecessary things from Divine Night. :bouquet: So I've narrowed down my list to only Private Party l/s and the Violet lip bag! I had like 20 things on my list. :haha:

Hi everyone, I don't know if this will help decide on STBS but I had initially preordered it with lured to love and the nordstrom exclusive bag and I'm taking it off my preorder because I noticed that it looks like a heavier swatch of Rio MSF (I'm NC25). If you already have Rio, you might not need STBS unless you wish Rio had a little more sparkle rather than sheen. As for lured to love, I fell in love with it immediately and I have tons of coral blushes! I thought it looked like a mix between Style from the perm line and Cream Soda from Archies girls. The texture kind of reminds me of the texture of the satin eyeshadows, not as much like a typical mineralize blush. It's just beautiful :eyelove: Really sorry that I don't have swatches for you guys but I hope that helps some people wondering if they need these or not!

I'm a new mac lover and still new to the site. I started after the all about orange collection. Any rules to not step my bounds on here, please send them my way!!!

Also, still dying to see swatches so I can order when they're first available.

I thiiiiiink I want
talk of the town blush
centre of attention msf
flair for finery l/s
you've got it l/s
I like how the eyeshadows look so far but i'm afraid I have too many similar colors from the naked palette- i'm a creature of habit

I think I'm going to go for it and get Lavish Living. It's calling to me plus it's Liba approved!
I have wayyy too many coral/peachy/pinky blushes that I want to branch out!

It's tough to do this but I think CoA is getting the cut :(
$43.50 CAD is just too much to swallow blindly.
