I think what they mean is, and what people fail to think of, is that in the time it takes to post one can send a pm.

No, I agree. I love your idea of the pm system. Im just saying what I thought the purpose for it was, to prevent the lurkers from hoarding everything...

Yeah. And I thought the purpose of this was to let other members know where we purchase these products, not to sell them to eachother. You know, so the lurkers wont get to them first and buy up everything. But I understand where missfitted is coming from if they are doing that.

Yes that's what I believe the original purpose of the "pm me" posts were for...to direct others to WHERE they can purchase their items. Not to buy FROM a member. To cut down on non members lurking and benefitting from members helpfulness...

I know, right? and there is not need to post that you have pm'd someone. pm=private message - it's ok to keep it private.

Maybe some people don't realize that a PM notification transmits as soon as it's made. But really Sage, my darling my friend, there's no blood shed here and people are getting what they need.
It will die down.

From what I'm guessing, most of these PMs as of late seem to have to do with these products being up in certain places but not for sale by the person posting about it. So unless I'm wrong, that wouldn't really go in CB.

But, I think the best way to do this is just look out for fellow members. If you see them saying something like "I wish I could have gotten my hands on '____'" and you know where they can get it, just send them a PM. It does get to be too much when you see so many posts saying "PM me if you want/have this".

I agree. I don't know about everyone but I try to follow rules on whichever forum I frequent. I try.

Specktra is getting more and more members so I don't know if it'll end anytime soon.

prep and prime does work but for some it doesn't. Some girls have suggested using nude underneath as well try it I am also!

I wanted to wear TTT so badly on a one day trip that I was taking but after all of the c/o about patchiness I was too afraid to risk it at that time. When I finally did try it with
well exfoliated lips (Sara Happ Lip Scrub, Eminence Citrus Lip Balm and MAC P & P Lip) well moisturized lips I haven't had a single issue with it and I actually love it!!!

This is why I mentioned PMing. And commented further saying that folks that do not have access to the CB can still make transactions via PM. I've seen on multiple occasions people saying "hey I have an extra bla bla PM me" then they have a CB thread and their selling said item at double retail or more (similar to how ebayers manage their sales maybe?) . But that's not an issue for me bc ppl can sell at whatever price they want. I don't comment on ebayers bc they don't really affect me. I think you've misconstrued the suggestion I was making. PMs can be used in whatever capacity the sender/receiver wants. It's just messaging. I am simply SUGGESTING that people use the proper avenues set up by Specktra to conduct sales between members.

What's worked for me when I didn't have access to the CB or couldn't get items I I wanted was messaging folks I thought might have extras they were willing to sell, that's why I specifically mentioned that as an option.

Man, that sucks!! I posted earlier how they screwed me over weeks ago - luckily I had a feeling it would get cancelled, so I ordered from a different site. Hopefully it will pop up on another site.. MACerette had a great idea to your ISO (in search of) in your siggy line!! That's genius!
