I'm still on fence about Versace Eau Fraîche Gift Set. I remember that the sample smelled godly(on sample-paper), but I read reviews where they compare it to D&G Light Blue. I have sample of D&G Light Blue and I seriously didn't like it =/ so idk, if the paper sample was off or what.

Hi, anyone has a recommendation for a good loose finishing powder? My skin is dry in the cheeks to normal in the T zone and I have read that silica powders are too drying. So I was wondering which loose powder would be good for someone with dry skin. Also are NARS Amour and Luster good for a NC 15-20. I have look at swatches and I think they are perfect for me but I would love your opinion (trying to edit down my shopping cart without success).

Smashbox Halo powder might be a good finishing powder for you! It's hydrating and while it's colored, it's very sheer. I have dry skin also and haven't had any issues with nars light reflecting loose setting powder. It's actually my fave!

Did most people buy what they wanted through F
I think I got nearly everything I wanted through the F&F sale.  I'm not sure if I need anything from the VIB sale.  My cart just keeps changing. ETA: Maybe just one palette? Still undecided.

I wanted to get more through F&F, but a bunch of unexpected costs came up, so I only got the Ambient palette. This will be my biggest purchase for a long time

I think Urban Decay is playing dumb for now. I know people lie on the internet, but this is a blog and they mention them being spotted at Sephora in France. This wouldn't be hard for the girls in France to call or head over to Sephora and check it out for themselves, so if it was a lie it could quickly get dismissed.

I
When I swatched them side by side, they were very different. Honestly, I prefer TB over TTT.
I wasn't able to swatch side by side because I was just playing around in Sephora. But looking at it on my hand it looked so familiar. Gah now I'm wishing I would have had TTT with me to swatch.

I agree! Before I sold my TTT, I swatched my TB next to it and TB looked darker, more plum... Closer to what the lip liner looks like. And it applies muchhhhhh smoother. That was at least the results I got on my lips, everybody is different so I could see some loving TTT more than TB.

That's my issue. I snagged everything I wanted during F& F. In addition, I went to Sephora on yesterday to return the OCC lip tar package that leaked all over the place and ended up buying Bite Lip pencil in Pomegranate and Nars Blush in Dolce Vita.

I'm so happy I went to Sephora to swatch a few items before I purchased them on Thursday because I would have been unhappy. I had Tarte blush Blissful (hated it in person) and The Guy Boudain Blush Palette (3 of the colors would never work on me, including Laguna) in my basket and have since deleted them.

Also, the Bite Lip pencils are pretty amazing....Don't see many reviews about their products!

I love Bite's lip pencils!!! I love most of their products, but their pencils and their lush fruit lip glosses are my faves. I'm going to be getting one of their matte creme lipsticks and/or one of their lush lip tints during the VIB sale to try out next. And mayyybe I'll get just one more pencil. I mean, I only have about 7 of them so far!

Back to the Train Bleu talk. Just wondering if anyone has compared it to MAC Night Violet or MAC Kirsch?
I'm mad at myself for now keeping my hand swatch of Train Bleu until I got home to compare. I wiped it off like an idiot

Also considering using this special 20% off time of year to get myself into some sort of skincare routine. Anyone have suggestions?

A little about me and my skin: I'm hitting 30 soon, so I don't think I need anything for targeting wrinkles (also lucky enough to not have them run in my family, so fingers crossed I don't turn out to be the odd one in the bunch). My skin is pretty normal, minus the fact that I sweat easily (gross). I went to a dermatologist who says I have adult acne and shouldn't use an exfoliator because it irritates it. BUT I'm always getting compliments on how great my skin is, even from complete strangers. And I honestly don't think I have bad skin. When I do get a breakout, it's usually just one or two big honkers. I'm always afraid to try new skincare because I don't want to risk getting a bad breakout or having any kind of reaction. I tried Neutrogena products years ago and they broke me out like crazy.

I've been checking out reviews on Sephora but it's just so overwhelming, and I trust my fellow Specktrettes to guide me! Suggestions? Thoughts? Bueller? ...Bueller?

I do make two separated purchases. So they are in different paychecks. Also it helps to get the things you MUST have in the F&F because less people have a code so is less likely to sold out (and if they do you have at least a month to see if they restock them)

By the way, I don’t live in the USA so if anyone wants my friend code I would gladly give it to the first person that asks for it. I don’t have any friend/relative that may want it, and it would be sad that it goes to waste.

That's really nice of you!

Are you familiar with Sephora's fragrance sets? You get a bag, ton of perfume samples and a voucher for a full sized bottle. One of this years set has Prada Candy included for just $55. I'm considering hauling 2 because Marc Jacobs Honey is also included. Maybe 3 for Gucci Guilty lol. It's SUCH a great value!
I have seen them before but for some reason I've never bought one. I'll for sure get one this time with the discount. Thanks.

You know I should take a look at those fragrance sets too in case my daughter wants something. I was just thinking of myself. LOL
