BUT Good News For Heroine Fans

>Well.....well. I have some good news (Great news for me) and some not some good news (memories of standing in long lines and long endless hold times in the wait room spring to mind during the RiRi Fall rollout) for folks who are hoping for a better rollout of the RiRi Holiday Collection.

I just spoke to someone from the MAC corporate office (800-387-6707) to inquire what, if anything, MAC intends to do differently this time to roll out the final Rihanna collection this year. The company received a ton of calls from angry Mac fans who complained that the collection was sold out withing 30 minutes. From what I was told, there was a meeting in which customer service reps had an opportunity to share with execs the nature of the calls they had received during the Fall collection. The corporate office was flooded with calls. (No surprise here, I'm sure.) from folks (Mac employees and fans) who were pissed that stores were not properly stocked to handle the anticipated demand for at least the first day. Outcome: Nothing! Its business as usual. Execs say, this will be a limited edition collection (no %$#@ Sherlock) , and by its very nature, quantities will be very limited AGAIN. So, that means that the company has learned nothing.Be prepared to get up at an ungodly hour to go to the mall and stand in line waiting for stores to open. No decision had been made to increase production. Many of us had hoped they would do it this time around because it is the holiday season. Nope. Some MAC stores will be opening two hours early on launch day, so you may want to confirm if the MAC store near will open early. Note: This does not apply to the department stores.

Breaking news to all of the Heroine fans on Specktra: The corporate office says it will be back ??????. (Spectktra members can PM me for the exact date) Not sure if it will be limited edition again. Price: $15 (stay away from the $100 Fake offers on Ebay) I, for one, am shocked, stunned and most of all EXCITED. Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!

I, for one, am shocked by the re-introduction of Heroine. I have included the MAC corporate number for those of you who are inclined to doubt me 800-387-6707. Let's hope they produce enough of Heroine this time. Fingers crossed.

With stuff like the waiting room and all that hassle for the RiRi lipsticks going on, I'll just skip the entire thing.

That's great news for everyone who missed out on Heroine. They should just make it permanent like they did with Candy Yum Yum.

I have two Heroines sitting in my collection and have not reached for them yet. I don't even know what it looks like on the lips because I just swatched one to compare to my other purple lippies. I might have to see what the fuss is about this weekend.

Ummmm!! You're crazy lol. Heroine is by far my favourite lipstick EVER. I have two and can't wait to buy more!

I agree with you. I never got it the first time around and have been looking for it online but i will not pay crazy amounts for it. Hopefully i can get it next time.

That's really exciting news ! Thanks for the info ladies. I am a gloss junkie so I skipped Heroine lipstick in favor of the lip glosses (don't judge me, lol) Do we know if its only the lipstick that is being repromoted or both ? I do have back up of Heroine lipgloss but I am just curious to know.

Heroine is just sitting there, go take it out and use it. It is amazing.

I think it would be a close contender it it were matte. I thought the Fashion Boost lip liner is almost an exact match. However, a number of the Heroine dupe You Tube videos suggest that Rebellious from "Rockstar A Cosmetics" is as close to an identical twin as you can get. Price: $10 and its a purple matte like Heroine. I ordered it last weekend so I'm waiting for it to come in Thursday or Friday.

Rebellious by rockstar is the exact thing as heroine. It even has that vanilla scent to it. I put the top lip with rebellious and the bottom lip and it is the same because it is matte and it is only $10. I have both and acknowledge to that.

With all the purple lippies that have come out in the last couple months. I'll be able to give purple kisses forever. I love this because purple is so flattering on me.

I'm trying to figure out if Heroine has been a bigger sensation than Candy Yum Yum. I still kind of think CYY was even more popular and frenzied, but Heroine doesn't seem that far behind. My MA tells me that even now, as soon as their store gets a shipment of CYY, it's gone in a couple of days.
