I guess it hasn't gotten much attention because those other collections have overshadowed this one. RiRi's got pushed out more because MAC knows Rihanna will bring in great revenue for them. The Maleficent collection however, I'm really not quite sure why its getting more attention. Maybe it's simply because they already have promo shots for it, and they don't yet for Punk Couture. Maybe they don't think people are even going to really go crazy over this collection, so they're just being lowkey about it, who knows. But there are swatches, so there has to be a collection. At least I hope so.

Well I would imagine that Maleficent has a lot of backing behind it due to Disney's massive money marketing machine so of course that would get an early major push. Not really surprised by that one. Punk Couture isn't a major movie release or backed by a major recording artist so compared to those two releases it's technically small potatoes as far as the masses goes. Now the makeup fiends like us out there would beg to differ but the crowd that those other collections would pull are far bigger than just the run of the meal beauty lovers. A big reason that RiRi's collections sold so well was because her fans were a part of the mix...so anything that came out with her stamp on it was likely to move I imagine.

I think they're just reusing the same punk photos from the release earlier this year. The one that was to promote permanent shades like cyber. I also think other collections have over shadowed this collection too.

I agree with both of you. I think MAC is really just putting focus on what's going to pull in more bucks than those smaller collections that they think won't sell out quickly, though I am more excited about this collection than RiRi Viva Glam & Maleficent. Oh well. More for us!

Thats fine with me. The less people know or care about the collection the better. More purple lippies for me.

I'm more excited about maleficent lol but it's different excited. I'm excited for these actual colors. I'm excited for maleficent's packaging lol and product of course

So I found out who did the makeup: Julio Sandino (click "Beauty" and scroll; the original photos are about a third of the way in), but nothing beyond that. I don't think any of the Punk Couture lippies look anything like that, based on the swatches posted earlier in the thread.

They don't officially announce every collection tho, just the big ones that will have a ton of media backing.

They are, unfortunately. Not only do they reuse colours, but now they're beginning to reuse promo images. :rolleyes:
