I have NEVER been to a MAC launch since I only recently got into MAC lipstick but you guys are scaring me! haha. all this talk about how crazy it gets makes me worry about my store tomorrow. I never see the store TOO crazy (though I dont pass by it THAT much) but all the MUAs I talked to said they think it'll be crazy so Im biting the bullet to get there before the store opens at 7:30. I swear TG I hope they sell out early or else I'll feel like it was all for nothing! but not too early that I dont get PB =P hehe

Is anybody doing any CPs by any chance? I know it being a difficult collection, not many have gotten what they've wanted. I was planning on going to the store release but I just had my baby less than a week ago & it would make it impossible for me to go. And I've had such bad luck with the online releases so far

Phew, finally made it through this thread!!
Okay so I've been doing some thinking
I had fully intended on going to hitting up Macy's to grab a BU of RRW and PB for myself, but now upon viewing this thread my plans have changed. I'll instead get one RRW for Me, One BGRR for my new co-worker who has been instrumental me landing my new job(she loves Rihanna) and one PB for an awesome Specktrette who has posted frequent, hilarious posts on this thread. I'm seriously rooting hard for this hilarious person to get her Lippies tommorow at launch, but if she doesn't she'll be getting one from me and it will be a gift. This is the season of giving - not reselling at a ridiculously inflated price!!

(I'm not saying who until I have PB in my hands for obvious reasons)

its not just cause im all crackhead-ish about these colors
but making such limited amount of a collection that has SOLD OUT ALL YEAR long, Just doesnt make business sense
They would make sooo much more money making more and reaching all your customers
Supply and Demand is there
Just short cut yourself millions.

These colors have to be coming back out in another collection one day cause it makes no sense to shortchange your business this way just for "bragging rights"?!
Atleast HE could have made bad girl the new viva glam color, its been awhile since a light nude pink has been made

Finally finished reading this thread. Between the liars, trolls, people who can't follow directions, hoarders, small business people, and others who just do annoying ish, I see why the older Specktrettes get annoyed. Hell, I'm annoyed and I'm a young buck out here. It's a miracle they haven't given more people the business, because it would be well deserved. I applaud you ladies. I'm nowhere near as nice, but I haven't earned enough stripes to dig in people's asses yet. Anywho, good luck to those venturing out to the stores in the AM.

When I called MAC CS the day of the online launch, that's exactly what I told the "higher up" that came on the phone to talk to me. I said MAC intentionally did such an extreme limited quantity of the lipsticks as a marketing tool.

If Ms. Riri had any balls, (especially after the disaster of her last launch) she should have demanded that MAC make sure that the customers get what they want & deal with the darn lipsticks breaking off at the bottom...Oh & STOP doing that stupid waiting room.

OH I am sure. The quality issue is terrible and it does not impact sales one iota. The waiting room is so stupid and RANDOM! I was in on 5 devices total and only one got in before everything was sold out. Same for the Fall launch. The store releases are always unpredictable but MAC scheduled it, built the hype, and only sold enough to not get sued for false advertising. It is a scheme to get people in to buy other ish because RiRi sold out. She does not care IMO. She gets the money and prestige of selling out sooo damn fast and that builds her image and further hype for Viva Glam RiRi. I am ok with that unfortunately because it helps people and that is the only silver lining I see in this mess of BS. It turns people into greedy monsters and for WHAT???

I got my lipsticks and I love them. BGRR is exactly what I wanted. I'm glad the second one is on it's way. It's a perfect everyday color. PB is really pretty. It immediately reminded me of Love Goddess. I didn't swatch them together, but that's just what I thought while putting it on. I don't think I need another. (I don't know what my hair is doing there in the front. Ignore that.) PB
