MAC Punk Couture Collection (December 26, 2013)

Today I have on Studded Kiss with Cyber as a line so I don't know that this will give you the BEST idea of what it will look like. Sorry for the dim lighting and poor pic quality. I'm in my office taking random pics hoping the AVP doesn't randomly walk in here.....Skin is NC45ish for reference....

I am still debating on whether or not to get Haute Core... I have my black lipmix that I love but I also like HC.

You guys, I actually rolled out of bed early enough to get to Mac before it opened at 8am. I was surprised that by time they opened it was only me and one other young lady. We both wanted Instigator and Punk Couture but the MUA suckered her into the glosses and a lot of other stuff. :nono: I was contemplating Hautecore but I had said I wanted the black from Melt instead. By the time I left I had changed my mind and I was closest to Bloomingdales. I went in and noticed it was missing. The MUA said the lady that walked by me had just bought all three. I'm like really, that's what we do? I took it as a sign that it wasn't meant to be. That MUA is my girl, though and I wanted to buy something from her so on total impulse I got Morning Rose from that Nude collection. I swung by a Macy's at the mall down the road and they had one more Hautecore left. Well, I bought it. I was surprised it was there since they had been open since 7 and I didn't get there until close to 10. I still have my 2 packages from Nordstroms on the way. I'm keeping one order as my backups and I'm going to sell the other order to a friend (Yeah, sell. Who the hell I look like? I'm tired of giving stuff away.) Instigator is my absolute favorite thing! It's the color I have always searched for. Punk Couture is pretty nice, too. I'm highly impressed by Hautecore. It doesn't swatch all that well on me, but it glides on. It's not black black on me, but it's great. I tried my Bling Black gloss from Style Black over it and it was nice, but it seemed to break the lipstick down a bit. I didn't even use that much. :dunno: Swatching Studded Kiss in the store I realize I don't really need it. Didn't set my heart on fire. I'll keep one, though. Anyway, who's up for sloppy lip swatches? Instigator

i grabbed punk couture and close counter (from nude coll) i haaaad instigator on my list buuut eeer uh...yea shyt seem to similar n close in color to others in my stash. im tryin to cut back so im no longer doin that whole "minor" color difference crap!! **le sigh** i was debatin on that HC joint but i got a blk lipstick from NYX n i know dmn well it wouldnt get much use. hell i got some black liners that would be able to take its place!! lol

Ok, so I ordered all the lippies and cremesheen glasses on Monday from macys but went in today and bought it all again just in case macys messes up my order. If my order does arrive, I planned on returning it all to my local macys and was wondering what will they do with it? Would it get trashed? The thought of perfectly good lippies, still in the shipping package getting tossed is too saddening.

They will toss them. Are you on makeupalley for the swapping? or the clearance bin here? You could always put them on eBay for cost-you'd make someone happy and screw up the resellers game.

Yep. With MAC there no actual seal-just a box. I don't know if it was shrink wrapped or something that was actually sealed whether they would throw it away or donate it; but a box is not a seal and it'll get thrown away.

I left My bag with Pleasure Bomb at the Nordstrom Cafe and I was about to lose it. I went back and they held it for me. They know me there. Everything looks nice on you! I am so tempted to go back for Hautecore, just because.

So, I was about right ... 2 hours later and PC and Instigator are both sold out. I'm just glad I refreshed and could add it to the bag. Now I'm thinking I should have gotten two of each. But, they'll only be worn at the end of the year(s), so no need. Unlike a nice fuchsia which will be year 'round (think I'm still talking myself into getting FOF, lol. I will eventually). I'm so excited! Can't wait to see what collections MAC puts out next, these mattes and retro-mattes are selling like hot cakes. BRING BACK HEAUX! ;-)
