yeah I first found out when I went on bars website and it wasn't there and my friend found it on Nordstrom but we were seeing it was discontinued but some places still have it so I'm guessing once they sell them all thats it

Yep. With MAC there no actual seal-just a box. I don't know if it was shrink wrapped or something that was actually sealed whether they would throw it away or donate it; but a box is not a seal and it'll get thrown away.

Guess what I meant to say was would macys still toss the lipsticks even if I took them into the store still in the shipping box with the packing tape still sealed to prove that I never even opened the package when it arrived. The employees at the counter would be the first to open it. Would they still toss it out even then?

Oh and I went to Lush after all that and lost my mind on the buy one get one. So much so that I left my damn Mac bag on the counter! I hauled ass back to the store and it was still there. Thank goodness the store was full of tweens who wouldn't know what to do with these lipsticks if their lives depended on it. I've never been so forgetful in my entire life.

On the phone with MAC now and two different CS reps are arguing over if PC items are pro eligible or not. So they are arguing over if they are supposed to adjust my total or not. Pretty sure I made the mistake of calling the regular CS number instead of the MAC pro number. When I told them that I can pretty much recreate my order online (substitute the PC lipsticks with 3 of the same PC lipsticks that are still available) and the discount clearly DOES apply I was told that I was wrong and perhaps there was an error on my computer. Ummmm...really??? Lol. Gotta love MAC CS. I can respect you a lot more if you admit that you're not sure what's going on versus making up an answer. I won't get mad if you tell me "I really don't know what's going on right now but I'll try to figure it out." But if you tell me that my computer decided to do something to your website and make the discount appear when it shouldn't...yeah....you can do better than that.

I guess that would depend on their inventory control system whether they'd be able to put it back in inventory. They might donate those. Depends on the store.

They might but we don't know when. I remember missing out on a couple of lipsticks from last year's boxing day collection (Strength), and I ended up ordering Pink Pigeon during one of their re-stocks 1/15/13 and Party Parrot on 1/31/13

Have you tried Mac Sin lipstick? I believe its a matte as well...

I love all of them but I think I'm drawn to Punk Couture the most, it's no unique to my collection!

Train Bleu may not actually be discontinued. Inventory may just be running low while NARS has more in production. The same thing happened with Schiap earlier this year. It seemed like it was out of stock at various stores and disappearing everywhere, including NARS' own website. Then a few months later Schiap was easily available again.
