MAC Punk Couture Collection (December 26, 2013)

@rocksteadybaby I wear EE alone most of the time. No liner. But when I got Stone I tried it with that and it worked well. So you probably won't NEED a liner but sometimes you might feel the urge to use one

Cool!! I feel way better now I don't have the stone liner yet on my wishlist I just think it's a pretty combo cause it brings out the gray more in EE

Sorry for the arm-only, indoor swatches, folks, I had face surgery early this morning (I'm fine, a follow-up to an emergency surgery to set the permanent bone replacement) and am all puffy.

I find these much creamier than the previous incarnations of matte colors (both the "retro" and the current regular matte.) Sadly, I got rid of my tube of Cyber - I haven't seen one yet, has anyone done swatches of Punk Couture vs Cyber vs Smoked Purple all in the same photo? (I have trouble comparing photo to photo since lighting and other things really change how a color looks to me.)

Cool!! I feel way better now I don't have the stone liner yet on my wishlist I just think it's a pretty combo cause it brings out the gray more in EE

Just caved and ordered both EE and stone liner!!! Will let you know how it comes out since my stone liner was supposed to be delivered yesterday but UPS changed to "adverse weather conditions may cause delay". My EE will be here next week as I ordered it last night! Can't wait!!! Are you getting EE?

Random but I was playing in my make-up today and I put on punk couture, lined it with nightmoth, and put st germain in the center. It was awesome!

i like putting on something light in the middle of dark lippies.

Hi Im new to Spectra! Here I am wearing Punk Couture. It looks lighter in the pic than it does in person. Also have on Pleasure Model blush and EDSF in Magnetic Appeal (both from the Magnetic Nude collection)

I am loving Punk Couture! I have such a hard time pulling off darker, cool toned purples but this one really works for me. I thought Instigator would be my fave and I do like it, but it does do that patchy center of bottom lip thingy on me that TTT does. I also think I prefer TTT's color, although it has more red in it.

I'm obsessed with both. I will def be dipping into my bu's of these 2. And TTT is patchy on me at times too thankfully instigator isn't.

I've noticed that a few of the people lately that have been asking where to locate these lippies within the thread aren't eligible for the CB yet due to low post count so they can't look there. Out of habit now I will click on their profile to send them a pm to try checking the CB for items but then I'll notice their post count and realize that they can't. Only advice I can give if you're looking in your local area is to just call around to all of the retailers that sell MAC before going out to visit them. It'll save you some time if you can check first to see if they possibly have anything. For some that might be a lot of checking. In my area checking is limited to one counter or a few 30+ mile road trips (if lucky. 90+ if not). But once you get access to the CB several people seem to have listed lippies from this collection.

Lol back in the beginning of the year, when I first got my RRW... I left it in the box for a few days until I knew i'd wear it. Then I walk into the kitchen a few days later to my BOYFRIEND swatching it on his hand!!! when I freaked out and yelled at him, he laughed and was like "don't be jealous I got to see it before you!!!"

Liba! I have to agree with you I think these look fab without no liner. As for EE I was kind of stressing cause I don't have a liner for this color just got my hands on this pretty lippy I'm going to have to try it with no liner as well. i'm hoping it will look good if not I think I will try it with stone

I think EE is totally better on me without a liner. I've tried it with Stone and that looks really cool, but let's face it - it's more of a look straight out of the 90's and I've already been there, done that.

Yepp! It's just a different look. I'd say if you knew you were going to be taking photos and wanted your lips to really stand out, even with flash photography, using a liner will accentuate them. You can also just partially line the spots you want extra depth, like under the lower lip and cupid's bow, and blend in really well.

Hi all, brand new to the community...but just wanted to say I got my PK lippies in the mail yday and they accidentally sent me two haute cores instead of just the one I ordered! Lucky me! Anyway, I think Instigator is my fav out of the four.
