MAC Huggable Lipcolour Collection (December 26, 2013)

Liba oh Liba, where are you? You mentioned that Fresh & Frisky is like Runway Hit in this formula, but I have very mauv-y brown pigmented lips. Would Fashion Force work better for me if I am trying to achieve a similar hue to Runway Hit?

Thats really hard. That last swatch & product picture that was posted is a really accurate reference. Which one stands out to you? They are all lovely on.

I think Rusty is kind of like a lighter Extended Play. Here's a single swipe of Extended Play with a double-swipe of Rusty.



I like it because it feels like a lighter alternative to my standard heavier red lip

Beautiful together. I love throwing these on with a coordinating blush & out the door...no other makeup. Simple & incredibly beautiful. I so wish these were perm.

I am going to layer these on top of my mattes and see how I can get different effects.. will advise.

I've been layering these over/under my nars matte lip pencils. Damned with red necessity and Dolce vita with fashion force are a couple of combos I've tried. I had given up on those matte lip pencils. They were just too drying no matter what I did. But I love layering them with the huggables.

I am so glad to hear this... I want to use them like I do my Chanel RCshines -- which don't give me high gloss but a soft sheen over mattes. TY!

I feel kinda bad about it, but I caved and order Rich Marron today.
I quoted your pic too... don't know what happened! OFP looks so beautiful on you! And RM has been haunting me too. But I'm still skipping since I have a similar color to RM in the Sheen Supreme formula (Bare Again). But it DOES look like such a perfect nude! Post a pic when you get it!

I was only going to get 1, and I chose OFP. I loved it SO much I let myself get 1 more because the formula is so unique. I picked up Rusty 2nd time around. I won't get it until Monday.
I would definitely try OFP if you're only getting one. It's a great everyday shade, but it's got enough brightness to it to make it special.

Ooooooh…wonder what Red Necessity (or Cherry Glaze) would look like over Riri Woo lip pencil… Ah the possibilities!! Thank you for the idea!

So far, I've found they act a little weird and get crumbly when put on top of anything other than bare lips. Even if I had a little balm residue, they wouldn't set up as smoothly or evenly. Please report!

For you particularly, I'd say Touché if you had to narrow it down to a single, do-everything color.

Hi!!! Here I am!!!!

Do you already have Runway Hit? It's a lipstick that looks different on different lip colors, so my guess would be whatever shade you personally get with Runway Hit, you'd get the Huggable equivalent with F&F. If you don't have RH, FF is quite a bit brighter than F&F, without the more beige tones mixed in, so there's a possibility that instead of looking more subdued on you, FF would actually pull even brighter and redder/coral when blending with your lip color, since the deep background of your lips could set off that brightness and give you a more jewel-toned color. If you want a subtle peach nude, I don't think F&F will be too light and if anything, your lip color will make it look less peach and more pink nude - you may get a very MLBB color out of it. As an example, I've got very red lips and Touché winds up pulling pink nude on me, even though it looks beige in the tube - the redness in my lips cancels out some of the brown. 'Same thing will happen with F&F for you. For the record, RH isn't a super bright peach on me - it's more of a peach nude with just a little brightness.

I just ordered OFP

& I'll check out Rusty if I get to the mall tomorrow. Too bad CG didn't work for you. Commotion is so darn special gorgeous on me, its in the #2 spot right under Cherry Glaze. I think the shade of Commotion is special along with the texture & shine of it. Stunning.

I tried Commotion on over the riri TTT lip pencil, it turned it a much darker plum but it ruined the effect of the beautiful texture & sheen. Like you, I prefer them all by their gorgeous selves.

Martiangurll.. you used them under matte lippies?

I was planning to use them on top -- to soften some of the matteness. I love my mattes but am ready for a bit of a change!
