I generally have found Bloor to be very nice (more helpful) which is why I was so surprised! We can both agree about Eatons though. I don't think they are neccesarily rude, just not as helpful.

I noticed this new in store, in case anybody missed it who might want one, a Too Faced bronzer/mascara set:

http://www.sephora.com/product/productDetail.jsp?keyword=too%20faced%20holy%20grail&skuId=1610435&country_switch=ca&productId=P386317&_requestid=165990

I saw the lipstick/nail polish set in store and the items seemed small to me, thank goodness.

Eatons aren't helpful because the only times they are adequately staffed is at 9:30 am! :p

I was in the KVD section, and the liquid lipsticks were almost all out, and I snatched the last lolita! It felt good! I thought it was going to be a little bit more pink than it is, but I like the look it gives me still !

(So buying both without hesitating)
I like the brand so far, but I haven't tried any of their glosses, as I'm not much of a gloss girl. They are not long wearing for me at all and seem to disappear out of nowhere, but I purchased their lip primer and it helps a bit. I'm sure the MAC primer or any lip liner would do the job just as well. I also have dry lips year round, so having to re-apply during the day doesn't bother me as long as they don't make my lips worse.

I did try two of the darker lipsticks and I had to return them because they just had too much slip to them and I ended up looking like a hot mess even with primer. I say it's worth a shot to try out a few shades and see how they wear for you. The price is a little high for the wear time I get, but like I said, they don't kill my lips, so that makes it worth it to me.

The website store search is always off for me also.
I've already called since the website product locator says there's the jcp sephora and regular sephora in my area that have them, they both said they're not in stock. Sometimes the website is inaccurate because if the tester is not marked out of inventory but the rest of the stock sells out, it will still list the store as having the product available.

Can anyone recommend a primer for oily skin. I was considering ardency inn. Anyone tried or have thoughts about urban decay setting spray for oily skin.

I just bought the Hourglass Mineral Veil primer but haven't used it yet.

Cover FX makes one that I like, it also has Salicylic Acid in it for helping with blemishes too.

BECCA I think Ever Matte? It's another one I have but I haven't 100% figured out the best application for it as when I first applied it, it balled up on me. MAC Skin Refined Zone did the same thing. I think both of them need to possibly be "patted" in instead of rubbed in.

I also use Monistat Chafing Gel - works pretty nicely.

Urban Decay Pore Perfecting Primer - when dabbed into the pores - really helps with pore appearance if that's of any concern to you.

As for setting sprays by UD, I have De-Slick. It's alright. I give it a good shake and I spray before I apply my make-up and after I apply my make-up to get the best use of it.

A lot of my issue though is I sweat a lot due to my health condition, even if I'm just sitting still not moving, so a lot of my "oiliness" could possibly actually be sweat, which makes it a bit more difficult for me to judge how things are working. I'm actually considering trying to get botox to see if that will help as I've heard it can because the sweating around my head in general is insanity.

Definitely not helpful! I think I want to start goig to the Bloor location it's just that eatons is more convenient for me. I don't know if it's just me but I feel like when i go into the EC location no one really offers their help (Or it's rare) & many of the people on the floor are just chatting up their coworkers or doing each others/their own makeup. They're not so much rude I guess, though there was a gal I asked for Hourglass products and while she was somewhat helpful she looked like she hated me, like it was a total chore to help anyone.

I'm not a gloss girl either. I'm ok with lipsticks that disappear as long as they don't leave that lip liner look around your lips which i call the dreaded circle of doom. where just the middle wears away. i need something simple and i need lighter shades as if i wear dark the baby feels the need to touch my mouth more, lol. I read somewhere about this company being started because the average woman consumes a few pounds of lip products a year. I find that statistic hard to believe as I don't know anyone that would go through a few pounds. even 3-4 full lipsticks a year isn't near that (i could be so wrong). I think the all natural and food grade ingredients probably play a role in the shorter wear time and i'm ok with that as long as it's not drying and doesn't leave the dreaded circle of doom around my lips LOL
thank you so much for your review on them. There are 3 colors i like most fig, pepper, and bouquet but i figured one was a good start. I do have musk/lychee so i'm not buying blind but it's so hard to see shades online. I think you have sold me easily on both. going to Sephora tomorrow. if they have them I WIN! if not, I save money and win anyway LOL

This is EXACTLY how the lady at Sephora treated me today when I "interrupted" her and her co-worker who were both chatting up a storm while sitting at the makeup station doing their own makeup! Mind you, there were at least a dozen people in the store. The other lady just stared at me like I had two heads. SMH

so after PixieDancer uploaded those BEAUTIFUL new lip glosses by Sephora I decided to go on Sephora's website to see what else new the had. they have a new collection inspired by Rio and Carnavale.

I will be going in today to buy these & maybe 1 or 2 more things since its the last day of the sale. this is a bronzer (I am a bronzer fanatic) and beauty sponges. I honestly only want the sponges because of the colors

they also have traveling makeup brushes too!

Okay. It's official.

EVERY company in the US that ships to the UK is a rip off with shipping.

The Container Store wanted $50USD to ship THREE plastic lipstick holders for christ's sake!

I just can't with these companies. Sephora, TCS, what next? They're all cracked!
What does Amazon charge for shipping? They have very similar lipstick holders available.

Its such a shame. It always turns me off of asking for help and shopping at certain locations. It's like they only come to work to socialize with their buddies and play with makeup

Girl check out ebay. I bought a lipstick holder (which holds 24) there for under $5 Canadian and no shipping cost! It's not the greatest one sure but it's fine and gets the job done, it's still nice. If you do free shipping and from Asia it'll take like a month but who cares!
