Is it mean of me to say I think you shouldn't be allowed to view photos unless you're a member? Try and stop some of the lurkers, or at least have some info on them so we can find them and beat them down

Erine, you are so right! I know members are even becoming extremely reluctant, hesitant and unwilling to give up the color stories, swatches etc. We shouldn't have to be forced to be so torn and conflicted about sharing amongst overselves just because some people are thirsty and hungry for so-called hype and fame. It is beyond childish. All that these behaviors does is cause us to be bored and delay our own pleasure and gratification. Then "they" have the nerve to get mad with us for straying off-topic. No more robbing us!!! Please don't steal our Speckerette's joy, lurkers, etc.

Really? That would be pretty cool! I just found Specktra on IG, perfect timing Also, at the risk of sounding stupid, I see that trendmood does mention usernames etc when she posts on IG. Is that not credit? Or does she only credit IG ppl and not Specktra ppl? obviously haven't looked through all of them so I'm not sure. I do remember these issues even from last year, I just don't remember the details. ..

Saying someone found a pic in Specktra but not referring back to the actual forum is not credit. When you credit someone you make sure there's a link back to the person who found or created it. Like when Naynadine does it, she links the actual blog. Not just saying "so and so "

Agree mosha! It gets annoying when people do not properly credit the actual user using links.

I completely agree! I have one other friend who, like me, doesn't tan, but all my other white friends tan like crazy, and think we're weird for not tanning. A friend of mine's mom was just diagnosed with skin cancer, and my poppo had skin cancer as well. The risks just aren't worth it. Plus, working with photographers, I've learned that tanned skinned doesn't photograph as well as the natural colour, whether it's light or dark. So i tell all my clients not to tan or use self tanner before shoots as it throws off their pics.

In the end, it's just easier to embrace your natural skin.

I agree with all of you about giving proper credit and I can't seem to understand why people are either too lazy to do it or want to claim the info/pics as their own. I can guarantee 100% anyone who has gone to college knows the trouble that comes with failing to properly cite sources. It is definitely not some big secret that only a few people know about. I don't have a clue how pictures play into plagiarism/copyrighting, but its not even about legality, it's about honesty.

I would love to share lots of face pics of myself on here, but I don't want my face allover Instagram just because I am wearing the latest collection. In my opinion, if I post pics of myself on here, they should stay here and not be posted anywhere else without my permission. It's one thing if I post on IG because that is a picture sharing app, but I feel like we should be able to have a little more privacy on here as members.

*Sorry for the little rant, I just had a lot on my mind.
