MAC Alluring Aquatic Collection (May 22, 2014)

Swatches of he lipsticks on NW 10ish skin My phone camera made everything look more red-toned than in irl. Top to bottom: GoftS, SS, Mystical, Pmp and on the left is EO Despite disliking frosts, I must say that PmP looked extremely pretty once swatched.

So, I am a very happy girl because I got everything I wanted. I ended up with Mystical, Lorelei, and Legendary Lure. Sea Me, Hear Me and Aphrodite's Shell will arrive either tomorrow or on Monday. I was at the store about 10 mins before it opened and I was the first one, though two other MAC addicts arrived shortly after me. The whole collection is just breathtaking and the eyeshadows are simply amazing! I could've gotten at least two more but I had a financial limit. When the MUA grabbed my Mystical I could see that there were only four of this colour left. That's what I call limited stock. I bet it'll be sold out by afternoon. Swatches and pics later.

line all of the purples up in front of your computer like a small purple lipsick/gloss army to guard your keyboard! i'm still holding on to the two lipsticks, but i keep waffling. the blogger swatches make me unsure about siren song- i wanted a clear lipstick with a bit of shine. i don't mind a shimmer, but i don't want a frost, and i certainly don't want it to give me any sort of concealer look. and i'm still worried about mystical's brown tones in some pics. i think i have had too long to think about this. i am pretty sure i'll like both, but the fact that it is the only purchase i am considering right now (i don't really want anything else right now, surprisingly?), i am just tired of thinking about it haha.

I like the idea of a purple lipstick army! Made me laugh. Honestly, I just needed to decide which packaging I like best, because that's the most important reason I'm buying it. So I need lipstick and a compact, at a minimum. I totally get what you mean about thinking about it for too long. That is a downside of knowing about these so far in advance. The positive is that if I woke up one day and read the email about this, or saw it in a store, I'd buy EVERYTHING!! I'd be so crazy about the packaging I'd buy it all. So you're not buying anything from the Moody Blooms collection?

Placed my order for Golden! ompom:  Took me like 20 minutes, there seem to be some tech issues. It's just my 3rd MAC LE item this year, so I think I'm doing pretty good with my low-buy. My Ocean City CP order got cancelled BTW :/ Not sure if I still want to hunt it down.

So glad it worked out for me at the store. Got GotS and that's all I really wanted. I also got to try Siren Song on my lips but as I expected I disliked the frosty shimmer. Here's GotS on my lips. NW 10ish skin. Even less pink and more violet in real life, though. It's a lovely creamy purplish shade. Doesn't feel very bright to me, rather a little muted. I'm sure going to be wearing this a lot!

Mystical isn't as orange as it is in this picture. I suspect Legendary Lure will look amazing with a greenish base. I'm about NC10, by the way. Maybe a tiny bit lighter.

Got 3 lipsticks coming today from Debenhams and just picked up Pet Me Please didn't like it on its own but if you fill your lip in with either Half Red or Dervish Lipliner and apply pet me please to the centre it looks bloody beautiful ill post pictures later!!! Both blushes was too warm for me NC15 skin, didn't like!

I'm not one to splurge for eyeshadows because I rarely use them but I swatched Lorelai and Fathoms Deep for fun and they are simply beautiful both in texture and color.

I will swatch GotS next to Rebel and Up the amp later. Maybe that will make it easier to see how purple/pink it is compared to the others. I think my hand swatch kind of made it look similar to Rebel but they're not even close.

It might go back on my list if it looks like that on me. I'm a NW22, so I'm hoping because we are both nw's it'll turn out the same lol

You should definitely have a look at it! For me it was the only lipstick shade that spoke to me as a NW representative

Maybe I should mention that my lips are really not very pigmented, more like a very soft pink color. I guess if you have pigmented lips this could turn out more red-toned? Just guessing..

My lips are actually a rosey pink color on the light side lol. I will for sure take a look at the lipstick. Thanks fellow NW!
