When I was taking the pics, I also took comparison swatches from Morning Rose and Mystical. I don't think that they're very similar, but it may depend on your skin- and liptone. On my lips Morning Rose is lighter and has a stronger metallic sheen. Mystical looks more "wet" and darker with a kind of reddish undertone, so I think it's no problem to own both of them:

Mystical, Morning Rose

I'm excited to see both on you, @sarabeautime - maybe they are more similar on you?

If you're now saying you just want it for the packaging, wait until you see the products in real! Both lipsticks are gorgeous, but I think it totally depends on your personal taste. I'm going crazy about Enchanted One every time I'm wearing it - the formular is absolutley perfect for a matte and the colors matches 100% with both blushs. So I took two snapshots for you to decide (I promise you, live you won't choose, you'll just buy :dancin: ). On my cheeks Sea me, Hear me and a hint of Aphrodite's Shell: Enchanted One: Mystical: Quote: When I was taking the pics, I also took comparison swatches from Morning Rose and Mystical. Oooooh the brush….what do you think of it? What will you use it for? Would love to hear more about the brush…. :)
I love the brush. It didn't shed or bleed while washing, it's incredibly soft but not too soft, and applies ED products really well.
Debating going back for a second haul, hmm do I need silver sun, fathoms deep, and aphrodites shell?!
Debating about the same thing. I think for me FD is more dupeable, but Silver Sun is pretty unique. Hmmmm.
Have any of you had issues with the extra dimension eye shadows not showing up too good ... almost to the point of it's really hard to distinguish what color shadow is on the eye?  I use "A Natural Flirt" for my brow bone from time to time. That one is okay.  But some of the other shadows from that collection barely, if at all, showed up on my lids.  I am wondering if this new collection will indeed  be more pigmented, or if I would be simply throwing my money away.  Thanks :)
Three of them have a kind of blackened base anyway. I tried SS and LL yesterday and found them incredibly pigmented to a point where I was glad that they sheer out well. No worries there I think!

Looking at swatches, I'm rather concerned that Goddess of the Sea will look similar to Dish It Up on me (I skipped Heavenly Hybrid for the same reason). But I really, really want something with this packaging, and it's the only thing that will remotely work on me since I'm allergic to the ED stuff.

Modern Lure LG looks way too dark for me, and the clear one, while gorgeous, I can't justify due to having too many unopened LGs already.
I just googled Dish it up and the swatches look nothing like GotS. I haven't seen it in real life so I can't be sure but it looks way more pink

I am surprised this collection was released here earlier than the US. This almost never happens. :)

I got:
Silver Sun ES
Fathoms Deep ES
Modern Lure LG
Goddess of the Sea LS
Sea Me, Hear Me
Submerged

But I want to get more, maybe more eyeshadows and lipsticks. Lipsticks are sold out online so waiting for the store release.

went to mac today to backtomac..
i tried on refined golden, but i can't tell if it suits me or if i should stick to aphrodite's shell?

here is me with refined golden on. i didn't like golden; i felt like the pigmentation was meh. i'm in the US, so i don't know what AS looks like irl and i've never used an ED product, so i don't know how it will apply.

don't judge my mismatched foundation; i tried a different one on just to check and it didn't quite work :(

i own no bronzers, and i love the AA packaging, so...
what do you guys think?
It might be the lighting, but I think it looks a little too yellow on you (don't shoot the messenger)!

no shooting at all! I wanted some criticism! I own no bronzers, but couldn't tell if refined golden would work for me. I can't swatch AS yet, so I will probably try that :) the foundation isn't my shade either. it's nw10 and too dark for, but I wanted to try on the bronzer with a foundation. thank you :)

RUH-ROH.
This does not bode well........

I just pressed lightly on the surface and my finger basically fell into it! It's a shame too because the color of Golden in this release is much less yellow than I remember it being in the permanent line, in fact it is nearly the same color as Aphrodite's Shell, just with a bit more pigmentation when built up, and with golden shimmer.
Also, I wasn't even going crazy for the packaging in this collection UNTIL I SAW THIS IN REAL LIFE. It is fucking gorgeous!

The good news is that MAC is refunding me and letting me keep the bronzer AND this issue is being reported to the higher ups since I told them I had heard on other forums that this was more than a one-off issue. My advice would be to steer clear of buying this until someone sorts out the issue because I can't imagine that this is not going to fall apart into a giant dust storm if I try to take it anywhere besides my vanity.

*Swatches of AS next to Golden coming shortly

APHRODITE'S SHELL in the first pic
In the rest of the pics I swatched a few random others for comparison:
L-R Personal Style, AS, Coppertone, Magnetic Appeal
(I definitely could have swatched other blushes and bronzers that were closer but I figured you could see undertones in AS Better against the range of cool to warm here)

Thanks for these swatches! AS is looking a little too orange for my liking, which is probably a good thing because I need to cut down my wants on this collection. I think I'll just get Mystical l/s and Golden for the compact. Maybe I'll get Fathom's Deep or Water Deities for my sister instead of AS.

FATHOMS DEEP & SOUL SERENADE (dry/blended on the left, wet w fix+ on the right)

Thoughts.......
my camera could not capture the crazy disco party sparkle that these have! CRAZY. DISCO. SPARKLE. I don't remember any of my other ED shadows being so off the hook sparkly! These 2 I would hesitate to wear during the day because they capture the light in a very flashy way, also there is fallout from application so I would use these before doing your face and then clean up before moving on. That said, they are gorgeous. If you always wanted to love the pressed pigments but found their glitter to be wayyyy too large and chunky (like I did), then these might be perfect for you. They are great for a one and done nighttime smokey eye, and they do have lovely dimension and depth.

One last thought: I don't need to own both of these really. They are pretty similar. When I tried one on each eye I could've walked out the house and nobody would have said anything to me about it. I am sure you can bring out the individual colors depending on what you use as a base or which colors you pair them with....but they are close. And this is coming from a lady who owns at least 30 taupe eyeshadows and is on Team Purple Fo Life. I take my color theory VERY seriously, but I'll be I could create the exact same look with either of these.

And for the Record FD is WAY darker and grayer than Grand Galaxy. GG is like a blue violet shimmer over a brown-taupe base, and FD is like dark purple/taupe shimmer over a very smokey dark grey base. FD is nice, but it's no Grand Galaxy. That shadow is the BOMB.

I'm glad you were able to check out the colors. TBH, they are both too yellow on you. I posted this trick earlier, but it it comes again: Taking a picture is very helpful when looking for the right shade of bronzer, especially if you are NW. If the bronzer clashes with your skin (too much yellow on pink skin), a camera will pick up pink (skin) and yellow (bronzer). Often people don't see the difference if they just look in the mirror. HTH
