I always wonder the same thing, why do they wait until after the launch to send those release emails? By the time you get them, everything is usually gone for big collections.

Yeah, I don't get the willingness to pay the inflated price. Personally, if I can't get the MAC lippie/highlight/bronzer I want for retail and am willing to pay more, I'll go pay Monsieurs Guerlain or Dior (insert higher end brand of choice) a visit. Actually, I often just start there. I have no appetite for stalking; if what I want is available when I'm checking I buy it. Otherwise I move on.

Glad to hear that you don't think it's likely that there are duplicate pro accounts; I thought that's what was being referenced in an earlier comment. People have already posted how easy it is to submit fake credentials for membership, so who knows?

We were referring to regular accounts. As the limit is four per item, you will obviously need more than one account to fulfill an ebay listing of 20 items. Hope that makes more sense now.

To apply for a Pro membership, you need to include photo ID and have a credit card in your name. I'm not saying that won't happen, but I'd assume it is not the norm.

I don't know if this will help but, you can sign up for UPS My Choice have the package held for pickup at the UPS location once it arrives and then pick it up. They will usually hold things up to 5 business days.

That's what got me too, maybe she didn't want to mess up her hair by pulling her enraged sister off her man? I would of been pissed if I were him and my wife just let her sister wail on me like that.

They should start suing those ppl who resale for higher prices. Do something!!! Thats so unfair to MAC and the customers. Something needs to be done. I bet those evilbay sellers have pro discounts too!!! Highly doubt they buy full price.

Yeah I doubt it. There's probably a bunch of people who work together to order all of the products and then resell them. And I can't imagine they make enough of a profit on some items to do it without a pro discount. Obviously some things are marked up more than others but still.. Maybe MAC and eBay could get together and ban LE cosmetic sales or something.. but eBay is making $ off this too.

MAC needs ebay. Ebay shows the consumer there is a demand for the product which makes everyone rush and scram about like crazy trying to grab them. Ebay raises the prices because there are people willing to pay it. If people stop paying ebay prices they will stop selling but it's very unlikely as MAC makes sure to only put out a very limited quantity in order to make their customers feel that they need the product more. If they didn't do that, they couldn't get away with all these new collections. If ebay stopped, MAC customers would slow down on purchasing as they would have time. Ebay forces you to buy fast, MAC needs ebay. (unfortunately)

there is no solution really but don't shop ebay as i'm sure in a few weeks people will start putting stuff in the CB. Remember other stores still need to launch AND MAC stores themselves as well

Ah, ok. The conversation moves fast around here; I thought you were referencing Pro accounts.

I don't really mind people buying full price and reselling at a profit; I wouldn't do it (who the hell has the time or patience?) but at least they're buying at the same time and price as the masses and had equal chance of getting it.
