Karen's lips are not enjoying that matte texture. They look so dry and cracked. I think it's a combination of her lips being pigmented, and the lipsticks being pale mattes. I don't have a lot of lines on my lips so hopefully they don't make my lips look so dry and cracked.

Agreed, that must be it. Thankfully my lips don't have lines and like...no pigmentation haha...hopefully it'll be ok. But man, if I had to go off those swatches...that'd be a no go. Eesh.

Yep...I don't have many lip lines either, but put a pastel matte lipstick on my lips with a not-so-great texture and they're going to be emphasized to the max!

i don't have crazy lines either but my lips can get drier then the sahara .. its all up in the air for me .. if i have to put in extra work for them i don't know if i really want them

I'm actually liking the colors more after seeing them on Karen, but her lips make them look so dry. I wish she would have done full face shots for all of them, too.

Perhaps the formula was dryer than a usual matte? Also she doesn't do tons of passes over her lips like T. So maybe she just did two swipes :dunno: but I like them on her

They do look really frosty...I don't know they just seem really off to me. I think I'm just gonna' pretend I didn't see those and forge ahead getting the lipsticks!

Mattes don't like me either but I just use the prep and prime. I had to get it for Talk that Talk or there would be no way I could wear that color.

i have a few mattes that are fantastic no probs for me at all like the nyx ones or the melt cosmetics i just need a little lip balm and I'm good to go but they just looks chunky gritty on karen looks like the application might be hard

Yeah I didn't even notice the dryness just the color. Man now I'm pawning over that lippie.

my lips are pretty pigmented as well and if my lip color will be peaking through like hers its a no go for me

Me too EVERYTIME! I'll definitely be picking up all of the lipsticks and blushes.

I like that the natural lip color peaks through makes it more wearable for everyone!

As long as I have a little prep and prime then I should be good to go. I don't mind a dry texture
