Really? In the sephora's here they keep all the cups hidden in the bottom restock drawers so no one can get them unless they dig through the drawers.
My Sephora also has them stashed away but they're not stingy or weird when you ask for a sample.

Then I got Gobi (which is very yellow) to mix with Mont Blanc and it gives me pretty much the perfect shade.

Thanks, Mandy, and to everyone else who responded to my question.

When i was testing darn near every brand of liquid/creme foundation with a dewy finish that sephora carries, i found many or even most companies do not make neutral shades, which is pretty frustrating. I know i'm not the only person out there with a neutral skin tone.

I found several brands i like in terms of feel and finish. I considered the idea of buying two foundations from one company - one warm and one cool - and mixing them together to get a neutral. But i don't wear foundation daily or even weekly, and it seemed like quite an expense for something i only wear a few times a month. Of course, when i wear it, i want to look better than when i don't, which is why i want a foundation in the first place.

I ended up getting something close in color and tone, if a little too light. It turned out that sephora didn't carry the whole line and the brand had a better match - but i hate going to malls to a department store - and now sephora - which is about 1 mile from me - stopped carrying that specific foundation, although they still carry the brand, and the brand still makes it.

So i'm back to wearing samples again. Sigh.

Back on the Maleficent topic:

I went in to MAC today to buy Alluring Aquatic - i bought way too much - PLUS i got a back up of Natural Beauty Powder, and i rarely get backups. Now i don't have to worry about using up Forever Marilyn (for which i have a BU) or Natural, since they're something i use daily.

*pouting* I want a beauty powder.

I tried on True Lovers Kiss, I dont know what it is, but these reds, and the RiRi Viva Glam, do not look good on me. I'm glad I've found a ton that do now. I would have tried to make it work.

I was wondering if there might be some fluid in there too. Thankfully the advil, heat and rest this last week have been helping a lot. There's very little pain there today. If it comes back a third time I'll definitely go to the doctor. I just hate going to the doctor. I have so many health problems that i just get sick of going, so i just bear thru the pain and try and heal myself. Not the smartest thing, but when you've been going thru one thing after after another for the last 18 years, you just get tired of doctors lol

Hear you loud and clear! I so hope you feel better now but you're correct--another episode would not be cool. You need to know what's up Babe!

That's a whole lot of pain----that causes you to process pain differently---more acutely & intensely even.  So sorry you're suffering with this!!!:bouquet:
Everything is amplified! Sensitivity to light, sounds, smells even. And then throw in there that i get migraines... Plus the two of those in addition to my endometriosis are all precursors to my bladder disorder that i have. Yeah. I'm just one big party waitin to happen!!!

I think we are both in the same boat with our health: it sucks. Mine does anyway. Feel better, love.

You definitely have a lot going on, I'm so sorry you have to deal with so much. I've had endo since I was about 15, so I know how rough that can be. People never seem to understand how much pain it causes and so far, doctors haven't been willing to help all that much.

I have IC! It freaking SUCKS!!! The meds alone weren't working so i have a nerve stimulator implant (kinda like a pacemaker) implanted in my back that regulates the nerves. It's experimental for IC, but it works like a dream! I've had it now for 7 years in addition to all the meds. Sucky part is is that it only lasts for 5yrs so i have to have surgery every 5yrs or so (give or take, depending on when the battery dies) to have it replaced.

I've had it since i was 14. Thankfully they found the right BC on the second try early on and I've had no issues with it. Sorry you haven't had as much luck. Have they tried BC? It made such a world of difference for me! But then again, I've been on it for almost 20yrs straight.

It does suck! I'm glad you have found something that works for you. It sucks that you need surgery every 5 years, but I'm sure that it beats the daily pain of IC. The meds and diet didn't work for me, so my next option is acupuncture. I'm just waiting until my new insurance kicks in so I can get the treatments covered.

Oh no! The diet doesn't work for you either? I'm taking 3 different meds for it, the diet and the implant (which isn't cheap! It's upwards of $20,000 each time just for the implant alone, not including surgical costs and all the fees that go along with that). I get flareups from time to time when i eat/drink something i shouldn't, but sometimes there's just something that i just wanna have, so i say screw it, and i pay for it later

$ 20,000?

Wow, my current insurance didn't even want to cover some of the meds. There is no way they would cover any part of the cost of an implant. I try to avoid the foods that really cause trouble like chilis but avoiding all of the foods on the list didn't really do much except make me very hungry.
