Mean girls and men too. I've had some men say terrible things to me. You'd think theyd have courtesy for someone of the opposite sex.
I'm really not even surprised anymore at people's lack of filter/consideration. Everything revolves around social media nowadays, so people lack real social skills and face to face contact... and that means they never really have to face the consequences or the impact of their words

Exactly everyone can say what they like to anyone and never see this person ever. But karma is real!

I agree. My child is 3 and I always make sure she greets people and makes eye contact whenever we are out places. Part of it is to instill politeness and a sense of respect for others, confidence for herself... and also to show her the importance of being alert and knowing what you're walking into in every situation.

You're a good mom! That's how children should be raised.

It's really sad to see the look of utter shock on people's faces when I hold doors open or ask how they're day is... People aren't used to kindness and courtesy anymore, they don't expect it or know how to respond to it

I know the feeling. I am very polite and have manners. People are in shock. I was raised to be polite and have respect for people.

Yes I sure did! I love WCN more than PMP still haven't worn it yet to try it out either. But I am sure I'll love it too lol
I'm going to grab another WCN if I can find it. I've worn PMP a few times since I've had it, it looks great with a little CW or WD on top of it.

I got a pretty big culture shock when I came here to Germany. The very first time that we went out in our local area we were smiling and saying hello to people and we got a lot of weird looks. I couldn't figure out what was wrong. The idea of chatting with a stranger while out is not really the same here. In the states I could go to the store and if someone else walks up to the area I'm in sometimes you could start a chat. "Oh I love your bag" "thanks!" Then, you could talk for a minute and then be on your way. It seems like the culture here doesn't allow for that. I once started talking to an MUA at the local MAC counter and she was asking where I'm from and she said "Oh I went to New York recently and it was AMAZING!! American's are soooo nice!" She was just so shocked how people would smile and talk to you wherever you went. My husband and I started talking with this guy in Berlin and he said that he loves how Americans are so happy.

I hope those really are things that people think about America. The we are happy and nice. :)

Advice you can take to the bank Dolly. When I think of all of the crap that I've purchased---then one good piece of advice can change everything!

Awwwww---the power of the PM

Hey you all can PM, as long as you pass the tips along to me! ;-) yes, I'm spoiled...

I am sooo in love with Silver Sun, I'd return the other shadows, for a few back ups of this one. I wore it today with texture on the inner crease and red brick. I had Clinique's Ginger pop on my cheeks and dreaming dahlia on my lips. Silver Sun, is so much fun and summery.

Ugh, fuckin' mean girls.  I swear in this day in age with social media it's impossible for people to keep a single thought to themselves.  MY brows are not your concern thank you very much!
I know, right? Whatever happened to being tactful? I understand being honest when it's necessary, but when you're just being nasty? And make up is very much like art, everyone's likes are different. If you don't like something, go look at someone else. It seems like some people say "I have no filter" as an excuse for being mean.
