I just bought Golden (pics and swatches to come soon) but it's really SHEER. I don't know what to do, and after I swatched it developed this type of like, hard surface, what should I do?

If you did a finger swatch and there was oil, sweat, any sort of residue it will harden the outside of the powder. I try qtip swatches when I can or a brush. That can scrape off though.

My counter stopped selling the AA Golden and the AA Refined Golden due to their softness and how easily they shattered.

I really don't know what to do with it now. I tried using a brush (nars yachiyo) but i had to LAYER and layer and pile it on, by the time I got the pigmentation I wanted, it was so shimmery. Maybe my brush is too soft, or I'm too dark. NC25-30/C3 what do you guys think?

Im nc15 and its light on me. Nc20 and darker will not get much pigmentation if any to show up

I'm wearing Lorelei, Sea Worship, and Fathoms Deep on the eyes, Seduced at Sea blush with Fairly Precious highlight, and Siren Song on the lips using Cream O Spice lip liner. I love this collection so much!

If you got it wet or oil on it and there is a coating on it now that is hard, there will be poor pigmentation no matter what brush you use. Try to scrape that hardened part off and then use a clean and dry brush on it.

Yep, sometimes I get this with pressed powders after I've powdered down my moisturized face (or am using an emollient "dewy" foundation. The brush picks up the oil/moisture, and it transfers and hardens onto the pressed powder. @Mac-Guy mentioned a product in another thread that might help called BeautySoClean but I haven't tried that yet.

A/S I have it I love it but I'm thinking too much product is ending up on my brush and not my face I'm really just using it on the cheeks as it's way too light for a bronzer which is why I got RG but fluffy brush /stiffer brush ?? What works for you guys?? I want to pick up a BU coz I know on I use the right brush I will get results I want.

I really like the brush from the collection for it. It works amazingly well with AS.

When using a finger, my golden swatch looks JUST LIKE Karrie's swatch, but mine is like so dry, and again, that hard layer. :( And can anyone please tell me how similar is as to golden?

Ok so i just tried the clean and dry brush, it worked pretty well, actually kinda intense when layered (whoo!) but THAT HARD LAYER..... How do you "scrape" a product, I don't wanna waste it, it's so gorgeous!

Use a dense brush. I use the multi-task brush from Real Techniques. I do have to go back a couple of times though because it's a slightly stiffer formula, but I don't mind at all. Totally worth it. :)
