I can't believe these stories about lipsticks being entirely sold out via preorder. Wtf really! That's even worse than the "we only have 2 of each in stock and need 1 for testers" stuff

I call my Mac store and they said No preorder so I'm fine.

But ladies call first.

They are notorious for sending the samples when the main order contents aren't readily available. Such an incredible waste.

It's just odd to me that they would do that, when really, most people would completely understand, and prefer, for them to ship the samples with whatever product was ordered like most other stores do!

Nordies must have heard me complaining that my other order hadn't shipped yet, because oddly right after I checked my account to look at the shipping status, I got an email saying it all had shipped! So my skinfinishes and lip polishes will at least be here soon! I don't know if I'm going to keep the Sharon one though, since after looking at swatches, it might be too orange for me.

But I totally understand the feeling. I would be lying if I said I hadn't looked at KYY listings on there and considered it. But I really hate feeding into that whole cycle.

Ok, it might be a good idea to get to the counters really early tomorrow. I just called and pre-ordered Peaches and Cream and the SA said that they only got 3 of those in and only 2 Cranberry lip pencils (I got one of them!) MAC needs to start sending more stock to the stores. I wonder if they thought this wouldn't be a very popular collection?

I don't get how mac sends limited quantity of items, they know we mac addicts are going to be falling all over there products.

I mentioned many times already what determines how many items a locations gets in stock, and it has nothing to do with the popularity of a colour/product/collection. Nothing.

So while I'm waiting for tomorrow, I'm making another Nordies order for things I definitely need. Anybody have a nighttime eye cream they're loving? Thinking maybe Shiseido or Amorepacific atm..

Coconut oil. Nothing beats it!

FYI I just called my macys mac counter and was told they were told it was okay to take preorders and they were out of all lipsticks.wtf seriously

Yeah same here and I was like wtf since my counter NEVER does pre orders :/ I was like bro how u gonna pre sell when I know u only get like 3 of each color?! Pre selling is for places that get like 10 a color!

I have all 3 and back ups of HGL and KYY. So... I mean... They're different finishes?

I'm trying to justify getting KYY for the finish but it's like a battle between hot pinks because they're all in my favorite finishes (amp. creme, satin, and matte). I guess you can never have enough pinks. XD

Strange finding: KYY doesn't stain my lips. I wore it all day. I lined around with NYX fuchia but didn't fill my lips in. Went over my lips with my regular gentle face wash (reaaaaallly gentle... I have rosacea). Not a trace! Maybe because my lips are already pretty pigmented?

I'm very fair nw10ish... Pink pigeon and HGL look super similar on my lips but KYY looks different (on me). Sorry to be an enabler

Yes, even with as similar as they are I always know which one I want to wear based on finish, wear time, maintenance (smudge ability) and color. HAha but I love them allll.

if it helps you- i'm like nc5-8... i really liked strip poker. i didn't like myth, fleshpot, or creme d'nude as all looked like they were straight brown on me.
