Tom Ford Beauty Discussion

I absolutely NEED them to reissue Moroccan Rouge. So I though I can't really tell from that Insta pic, I am cautiously hopeful that all the suggesting I did at various TF counters maaaay have helped them make a positive decision. (Who am I kidding? If it comes back, I know I had nothing to do with it!) I am miserly with my last tube of Moroccan Rouge and hopeful that they will see fit to reissue it before that one dies.
There's one in there that looks like Black Orchid too... I'm miserly with my tube of that, even though it's started to smell like old crayons.

How's everyone enjoying Nude Dip (those of you who actually received your orders)? I wasn't wowed. Thinking I'll have to try it wet next time.
You're not the only one... I checked the collection out at the boutique and although I was waiting for Nordstrom to get the collection when it finally comes in I won't be getting anything because I didn't love Nude Dip like I thought I would and I love YSL #6 blush way more than Tom Ford's Softcore. So now this collection is a skip for me since I did a big YSL haul.

I really would like to try some TF eyeshadow, blush & bronzer/highlight and the brushes. The only thing that has stopped me is the pricetag. And with this kind of pricetag I would actually prefer to swatch beforehand then be sorry later. Unfortunately none of the products (besides the l/s) are available in my country and probably will not be for a long long time so that makes it difficult to swatch. Also I hear that the eyeshadow quads are pretty sheer. The lipsticks are good but maybe don't have the wow factor. I do like the packaging it's beautiful and heavy. And I hear the brushes are great!

I guess the question that remains is: what is really worth buying?(I know that this is kind of personal, but I would like to know the products you rave about) And do you happen to know reliable American stores that ship to Europe? I know that Selfridges in England has TF but they charge 15 pounds just for shipping.

I like the ls and blush I don't wear foundation but if I did I would buy the best the mascara price tag is too high for me I use a tube every three weeks so I'm not spending that much on a mascara besides I love greatlash hehe o and the eyeliner is the only one I use

On me the colors to my surprise went more to gray/taupe. Which is fine with me. Not a real lover of brown eyeshadow. As for the nail polish, in my huge collection, nothing quite matches it. It does look black, but under the lights it has this cool deep wine undertone. Chanel Strong is close but more shimmer. The original Chanel Vamp came out when I was in junior high. I haven't been this excited over a color since then. It is the blushes I have never been drooling over. Wicked for me is OK. The rest are too brown/peachy for my skin tone. I apply the Softcore like I do with the Chanel Rouge that came out years ago. Gentle, a little goes a long way. Careful or the traveling circus will be looking for you to join them. The Negligee lipstick, to me is a pretty close match to the softcore bricky color. Since TF is not sold near me unless I schlep to downtown, then pay out the nose in taxes since it is downtown I skipped the Twist of Fate and the other blush. Peachy/corals are awful on me. Good news, the NM about 20 miles from me is going to have a TF bay in November. I wonder if the matte lipsticks are the same colors he offers now, except in matte? I am wanting the darkest one. But if it Bruised Plum, just in matte I can skip it.

I am pretty sure Bergdorf Goodman, Nordstroms and Neiman Marcus ship over seas. Not sure the cost. Nail polish can't be shipped over seas. Which I think is stupid. Does not Chanel, Armani, Louboutin, etc fly their stuff over here? Or does it come by boat, literally? The mascara, and eyeshadow would be what I would go for. Again, the brown eyeshadow usually a normal buy for me. I was surprised how the colors are different once applied then what you think they are in the pan. It could be my skin tone. Think of Casper the Ghost with pink undertones.

So it does not look very brown on you?

I just did the entire look. Negligee is leaning towards, brown, no pink undertones on me. I used the new Armani liquid liners 2 and 6 with the TF quad. Love it!!! I started with the TF pencil in Mink, looked kinda of blah. So I jazzed it up with the Armani liners. This quad has shimmer and lots of it. The MAC aquatic collection the lipstick that was the pinky neutral is pretty close to Negligee. Lipstick looks good, but for me, in a house fire, I would not run and save it.....The mascara is understated. I found a base of black of mascara then putting this on as the second coat makes it pop more.

I just checked if I could order and unfortunaley none of the stores ship to the Netherlands or even international. I was already afraid of that ! So more tips are still welcome.

Don't tempt me on the Armani liners. I'm dying to try them. I don't know how much longer I can hold out.

I haven't succumbed yet, but those liners are stunning. I want all of them. FYI, Full Time Ford just posted a promo image for their winter campaign: http://www.fulltimeford.com/2014/08/20/get-look-cara-delevignge-black-orchid-2014/ The collection is called BLACK ORCHID!!! So it looks like we might be getting the shade back, at least on a temporary basis.

I just thought that I would share that the tom ford website has Nude Dip available right now at 8:17PST (I just placed an order). They also had them available yesterday morning vet early. It seems they are only releasing a few every day.

I actually really like it, and I plan to use it a lot this fall. I am in a "neutral loving" stage though.

My goodies came this morning. The nail polish is super cool. Love it!!!! The blush soft core is more brick red with a hint of berry. The mascara has shimmer in it which is outstanding. Think of Holiday 2013 Chanel bronze top coat mascara mixed with brown base. Eyeshadows are lovely. The lipstick Negligee is more brown based then I thought. I used the TF vinyl on top, and it made it better for my super fair skin with pink undertones. The least impressive for me is the blush. I use a MAC fan brush LIGHTLY. If it wasn't a LE I doubt I would have bought it. The highlighter is nice, but not great, at least to me.
you might like stroked better, it is warmer, I was shocked as I thought it would be orangey but it's not....these are very hard to go off swatches, I think highlight makes a bigger difference than blush and the swatches are more true to color on highlight - have both and feel same way about LE, I will regret not keeping both I think

I have both duos and really like both. With the darker duo, I barely touch the pan and then apply. Even if it looks like there is no product on the brush, this product is so pigmented that it will show up. At least on my pale skin.
