MAC Brooke Shields Beauty Icon Collection (Oct 2, 2014)

so my work got this collection in yesterday and i have to say, it's made me even more excited for it. one of the higher up estee lauder guys and i were talking about it and he was slightly confused why i was really excited- he said he was more excited for rhps, naturally lol but the packaging in person is cuter than it seems in pictures imo and the big palette is to die for. it's definitely more cool toned but it's just beautiful to those who don't have a lot of mac shadows (i.e me haha)

the only thing is that the computer system still has the price as 110 but see we deal directly via mac's website, i'm just a little

Thanks! I think (and hope) that they will keep the price at $85 now. It's been buzzed about so much at that price that I don't think they will jack it back up last minute and tick people off. I can't wait to get it!

It'll change once it is released to 85 according to everyone. Same thing happened with the Osbourne blushes, some places still had them at 29 while others and MAC had them at 23

also, when do online launches typically start? 8am? coz thursday morning i'm definitely going to try to get it before i go to in to work coz i'm paranoid it'd sell out by the time i get off and home.

That is odd, especially since it's listed as $85 on the product page on the MAC site. Unless it's changed in the last few hours. Anyway, you just made me feel like I need this palette even more than I thought I did originally.

I doubt it will sell out super fast..but who knows..you'll get it, that I am sure of

I'm looking at the Mega, the Too Faced, and this one. Too many palettes!!

too many palettes?? no such thing haha. i will die without this palette.

My only fear with this palette is that the shadows might be less quality than the original MAC shadows. It doesn't seem like MAC to offer a 15 pan worth of shadows for $85 dollars, and all of them have the great quality that MAC shadows are known for. I might be totally wrong, but I'm just wary and a paranoid person lol!!

I feel your pain. I am still trying to get him to understand that same concept.
But he has fifty different wrench thingys they look the same to me when they are splattered across the floor

I find this palette really well made: pretty nice mix of colors + balance between warm and cold ones I do like it a lot....
I'm not a fan of palettes (99,99% of my eyeshadows are mono or duos) but this one is calling me...
But the price scares me a bit...
I'll decide when it launches in France, upon swatches, price, location availability plus "purse-potential"...

That's cheaper than the regular Warm Neutral or Cool Neutral x15 palettes. The regular price is $120!
