MAC Brooke Shields Beauty Icon Collection (Oct 2, 2014)

Buying limited editions where I am is a pain! If we even get the collections, the stock is so low. I will never forget the madness that was the Riri hearts Mac collection.... sold out in store in less than 5 minutes. I always order them online and ship to my sister if it's something I really want.

Yup... We sometimes don't get a particular collection either... And I had told the MAC store people that I wanted the Strenght collection... That one sold out in the pre-launch event! Never made it to the store on regular hours.

I also hate that the MAC stores here see a lot of personnel rotation. So when one sales person is starting to recognize you as a regular, out he/she goes and it is back to square one again... My most recent favorite MAC SA is now at Bobbi Brown!

Well I just died again coz the lipglasses are $53 and the lipsticks are $51, wtf...
I need to stop complaining about MAC prices here in Trinidad. Regular prices for lipsticks and individual eyeshadows are $130TT and when you convert it, it comes up to about $20US.

Plus you get to live in Trinidad.

The theme sounds exciting and so does the packaging, but the products not so much. Nothing for me here.

Maybe the bronzer, but... I don't need more bronzers and I don't want to buy another one just for the packaging, lol.

Im not all that impressed by this collection, maybe because Im not a die hard fan of Brooke Shields. I think the packaging is SO-So, and i think most of the colors in her 15 eyeshadow are similar enough to my Lorac Pro Pallette.

Lol I know the struggle.
Luckily our Mac stores don't have a high turnaround of staff but even if the know you, it's still a gamble as it's usually so little stock and they're "technically" not supposed to reserve stuff for you. They'd have to really really know you. I just can't deal with the drama so I order my stuff from the US lol.

Can't say I'm surprised, I'm expecting something similar in price for scandinavia if not even higher..
