Yeah, I guess I was just under the assumption that the point of all of the variations of balls was to illuminate the face/blur imperfections. I could see how, for example, one with more yellow or green balls may theoretically hide redness better but I'm not clear what about this holiday set would specifically illuminate best at night in dim light.
I tend to agree. I do think that probably the differences in effect on the skin are so subtle that none of us would be able to detect a difference, other than perhaps one being warmer or one being whiter.
Interesting though -
I pulled this info off of a Sephora Q&A. Someone contacted Guerlain about what the different colored balls did and here was the response:
Pink - healthy glow
green - corrects redness and red patches
mauve - attracts light
white - lightens and refreshes
gold and mother of pearls - adds radiance and highlights
So perhaps there is something more to it. I just think the holiday one with a predominance of rose pink and copper shades is heavy on the "adding radiance, highlights and glow" whereas some of the others may be more light-attracting? I don't know - my best guess!
