My pleasure. I'm still eyeing Black Orchid, but more and more, I find myself drawn to Velvet Cherry. I notice that one doesn't seem as easy to dupe...

I rotate my lipsticks for the season. I just put away the summer ones, and pulled out the winter. Yes, I even purge. Sometimes I regret what I toss or give away. Other times I look at these items and wonder what drugs I was on or if my invisible twin or better yet my older brother had secretly ordered these items.....to this day I can't part with the Chanel quad Euphoria. I know the formula has come a long way. But this came out when I was in high school, super edgy at the time.

I hate restricting myself to seasonal 'rules & restrictions' but I am for example more inclined to wear my dark vampy shades during cooler months. Nevertheless, I keep
it all accessible in spite of the season. I have culled some of my lipsticks and other products, and so far haven't regretted items that went by the wayside. I replace
them with something more amazing and convince myself that to have new, sometimes I have to release some of the old----but never anything about which I'm super
passionate.

O thanks medgal I guess I should have said I can't find any swatches of people wearing ft that have my skintone its so hard to really know if ft is going to work on my skintone

I thought I hit pay dirt w/that link ATG because the first row of photos showed a woman of color in the lipstick. I get it though---it would be a costly mistake if the color
didn't work, so you're wise to approach it with caution.

I haven't tried my BD yet. Am waiting til Halloween to do my whole face up. As much as I love makeup, I rarely make my whole face up in recent months. Done got too lazy. LOL! But I always have on at least lipstick and mascara.

But got to do it up for All Hallows Eve.

I usually make sure to exfoliate and keep my lips hydrated the night before so hopefully my Black Dahlia will apply nicely.

I'm convinced that my lip-care routine spared me the agony that some folks experienced w/ BD. I hope you love it!!!

I got it and thought you were responding to a remark that I made---it was funny to me because it spoke to my behavior with my makeup---it's like when it's new I don't use
it until I'm putting on a fresh face. You got me!!!

I could probably find every specific product in my collection blindfolded, and without fumbling, lol. I use a mixture of acrylic drawers and three little six drawer chests from ikea. I forgot what they are called. I put a mixture of new eyeshadows, and old ones I want to be sure and use in a tray on my vanity, and I rotate them out. I do the same with blushes. I need to find a better system for lipsticks. Right now I tend to wear whatever is new. I'm pretty good about using different highlighters and contour products, so I haven't had to regulate that yet, lol. I also purge all the time. If I don't see myself reaching for it, I ditch it. I'm kind of relentless. I get overwhelmed if I have too much stuff (my idea of "too much" is about 100 times a "normal" person's idea of too much though). I've really been working on not duping shades, and only buying things I really really want, because I get caught up in the hype and excitement way too easily. The problem is that there are still a lot of things I really want

I ordered first time from Nordies, and it shipped, Yay

When I find my self (happens often) not using certain products I give myself a very specific challenge---be it a
week or a month, to construct makeup looks using those specific products. It's fun and my unused products get
more love--if only for a time, until I do it all over again.

I am so happy, I am not the only OCD with my goodies!!!!! Tom Ford has just arrived, lets see if it is all that and then some !!!!! I have about 150 bottles of nail polish. My father just moans.....of course I have it grouped to the collection it was released as. I have a six drawer then a three drawer and some trays. Then my nail polish is on racks in another room. Since when I was little I got my butt kicked when I spilled a bottle of nail polish remover over the antique dresser. My brother the narc....I got him back. Told the P's he was kissing a girl in the living room, pay back is at times so sweet. Lipsticks are grouped in the hues and values and by brands. My brother when he comes home mixes them all up. Just to watch me go nuts.....thankful he live in ATL. But he still puts the peas over my mash poatoes.....ugh, older brothers.....so I short sheeted his bed and sprayed the sheets with TF Black Orchid. It smelled like an Egyptian hooker :=)

No wonder you didn't want me to tell your brother, "I was right & your were wrong"!!!

What a rivalry! My
brothers blew my dolls up w/a bicycle pump and chased my dates away when I got older. I would have killed
you over the TF Black Orchid---that stuff is so strong you can smell it in a neighboring county.

I used to buy NP like a world-wide shortage was imminent, and ended up w/>450 bottles all arranged by color on
wall racks. I've slowed considerably because my rack overflow now has overflow

What did you get from Tom Ford?

Yay---nice choices Purple Popcorn! That's where I ordered from. I was stalking since last night. They put
Negligee up again last night but it was gone again by mid-morning.

Oh you were holding out and didn't announce Nordstrom had finally got them hee hee. I was on the fence with Negligee but I'm glad I passed since First Time suits me much better.

I'm done with makeup for a long while and will be indulging in handbags & shoes, right now I'm waiting for UPS to deliver my red Chanel Classic flap from the Cruise collection. It's going to look so great with my Ruby Rush lips!

Yeah I really haven't seen any swatches yet of FT on women with darker skintones. I always do keep that in mind when I'm on the swatch hunt - I think a diversity of pics is helpful for everyone! I even find similar skintone doesn't always help because sometimes even people with light/med skintone have really pigmented or mauvy lips which can really mute or alter the color of the lipstick. My lips have hardly any pigment so I find a lot of things end up looking darker on me. It's always a guessing game! Woo hoo good news! Glad that made your day :cheer:

My TF cream eyeshadows and FT and BD were out for delivery today and the mail lady came and there was no package!!

The last time I ordered from Bloomies (my Chanel Jersey blush), the same thing happened. "Out for delivery" then nada. And the next morning when I checked tracking, my package was an hour away at another post office!

And just to add insult to injury, the UPS guy shows up at my door this morning with a Bloomies package and I was shocked. Turns out it was the silly bag they offered as a free gift. They shipped that UPS but the good stuff UPSMI so the USPS can cart it up and down the east coast a few extra days before they deliver it. HRRMMMMPHHH.
