Err…I might have purchased the second to last set. There was so much gushing about them, there were only a couple left, my birthday is the first week of January and people are asking for lists, etc. Sorry!I hope so, I'm pretty crushed right now.
It's all good! I hope you love them when you get them.Err…I might have purchased the second to last set. There was so much gushing about them, there were only a couple left, my birthday is the first week of January and people are asking for lists, etc. Sorry!
On the plus side, she has a listing with the new version (I also saw Blanc de Perle in the Toronto Eaton Centre Sephora, actually) and I doubt that they'll sell out anytime soon. I decided to go for the all-white version simply because the price including shipping was about the same as getting them here and I wanted the larger 30g size. Also, I know it sounds ridiculous but the old version has a different lid so that's what tipped me over; being able to tell at a glance which tin is which.
I'm a little paranoid about them looking ashy, but I do love my NARS Light Reflecting Powder and it does great things for me. Elegant-One has lighter skin than I do and Megdal deeper, so I'm hoping for a NARS powder experience in pearl form. It's all good! I hope you love them when you get them.
I got a tip off about another set this morning, I'm looking forward to them.
I feel the same since I'm darker toned, but I figure if Meddy can pull them off without looking like Casper then I should be able to as well since we seem about the same skin tone. Fingers crossed for both of us that we put them on and fall in love like they have!I'm a little paranoid about them looking ashy, but I do love my NARS Light Reflecting Powder and it does great things for me. Not to worry. That's exactly what you'll get, especially if you're accustomed to the NLRP, which I also use. I think you'll love them and wear them well.I'm a little paranoid about them looking ashy, but I do love my NARS Light Reflecting Powder and it does great things for me. Exactly! You'll both be fine with them. All of this talk about these is making me want to wear them today---so I shall!I feel the same since I'm darker toned, but I figure if Meddy can pull them off without looking like Casper then I should be able to as well since we seem about the same skin tone. I really hadn't planned on adding the white pearls to my collection, but Elegant-One and Meddy wore me down. I'm still impressed that I've managed to amass four sets without personally spending a penny.
Nice! I wish we had Shoppers in my neck of the woods.I really hadn't planned on adding the white pearls to my collection, but Elegant-One and Meddy wore me down. I'm still impressed that I've managed to amass four sets without personally spending a penny.
Perles d'Etoiles - Anniversary gift
Medium perles - Shoppers points
CrazyPearls - dear old dad (Christmas)
Blanc de Perle - my aunt (birthday)
Even better, I have another $85 in Shoppers points that's earmarked for the spring blush pearls.
After that, I think I'll be good for quite a while (naturally, holiday 2015 will find a home here unless they're really glittery or cool-toned). A girl can only make regular use of so many balls at one time, after all.
They'll be restocked....hopefullyI hope so, I'm pretty crushed right now.
It's a drugstore chain. Normally you get 10 points for every dollar spent, but they frequently have 20x points promotions or give 18500 points ($25) for a $75 purchase. The points are worth more as you accumulate more, so two $75 purchases done during those promotions net $60, and a third pushes it over $85. I bought two fragrance samplers a couple of weeks ago for $75 each (you get 10 samples and a certificate for a 1.7oz EPD of the one of your choice); a couple of gifts netted me $60 in points.Nice! I wish we had Shoppers in my neck of the woods.
Oh that's a pretty sweet deal! The closest thing I can think of is maybe the Nordstrom rewards you get from using their card, but it doesn't seem to be as rewarding as those Shoppers points. It's a drugstore chain. Sephora has more variety, but I've shifted to buying the products that are available at Shoppers there during the promotions. Sephora points aren't nearly as valuable.
