Just came from my MAC store. Sadly after swatching and being ignored for 10 minutes I left and am even more convinced I'm not getting anything from this collection.

were the other lippies perm except for Toxic Tale?
No - 5 Alarm is LE. I wasn't originally going to try it, because sheerer red lipsticks don't always look right on me, but it is adorably cute! I couldn't resist getting one. It doesn't look too little girl-y on me, and yet it's very charming. It's got a texture and opacity that reminds me of the Huggable lipsticks, maybe a tiny touch sheerer, but it goes on perfectly evenly.

I agree! She made me want everything. She is why I ordered the CC
I haven't been around much so I'm not caught up with this thread, but I HOPE you got the beauty powder. It's gorgeous!!! Waaaaay nicer than the Marilyn BP. It might not be quite as suitable for all over the face like Elude, but it's right up there with that one in fantastic effect! Love it. If you are very fair, this is the BP of the year.

This whole collection was better than I'd expected. Along with Toxic Tale, I wound up getting 5 Alarm, Red Obsessed and the red and beige shadows (the beige one is as nice as Aurora pigment, and you know I very rarely buy these neutral shadows, since I only like perfect ones), plus the BP.

I'm going to go pick it up now.
MIssed you lady!
Hey ladies!! Good to see everyone!!!

I thought this collection was already out everywhere, but I guess not. I'll say a few more things, since I've got a minute.

The red shadow looks more like a coral swatched on the hand, but on my eyes, it looks much more like a light red - I think that's due to the darker skin around my eyes making the color shift. My eye skin is more like an NC35 or even maybe a little darker. If you used a medium dark beige paint pot underneath, I think that would bring out the red in it, if it's not red enough on its own. It's a very dimensional color for a matte, so it shifts with the light quite well and doesn't look like one flat slab of color on the lid - it's more volumetric looking. Very nice, but it isn't scarlet red, just a nice light, bright, youthful, almost pastel red. On some people, it'll probably pull more pink or coral than on me, but again, I think that'd be pretty easy to fix with the right base.

The coppery shadow is very similar to Deep Fixation, but without DF's subtle pink sheen. If you have DF, you don't need this one.

The beige shadow is really beautiful. I sure hadn't been expecting to buy it, but I did. It does have some larger sized sparkles in it, so that's something to be aware of, but the base is not that sort of frosty effect that shows up all your lid texture. Instead, it's rather velvety and smoothes over my lid crepe really well, so it's flattering and enhancing. It reminds me of Aurora pigment (one of my all time favorites), but with less warm, yellower undertone and more of a cool and soft pink undertone - it's still very much a beige neutral, not a pink. It's less frosty than Aurora (which is more sheen than frost anyways), but there is sheen to it, just very subtle. Could easily be worn on the brow bone without looking too flashy, but also nice and smooth enough for the whole lid. Very pretty and I usually do not buy these beige neutrals because I have plenty of Aurora and just use that since it's perfect. This one will get even more use, since hey - it's in a pan…makes life easier, plus even nicer texture. It's a winner, especially if you love Aurora, or wish Aurora was a little bit cooler-toned. There are large sparkles here and there, though, so don't over-apply or over blend or I could see them falling out. I did wear it all day the other day, but I also had a really glittery MES on too, so I can't be sure of how much or how little fallout there was. If it's equal to Guilty Morsel (which is another lustre finish shadow I adore), it won't be a big deal.

I liked Red Obsessed the best of the CCs. If you have the CCB from Prabal, this one is very similar, but pinker. I thought it was more natural looking on me than the Prabal one. I liked the sheen it had, which was not too over the top dewey, but dewey enough to be great in the springtime with the eye glosses on the eyes and gloss on the lips, for that all-gloss look. The BP instantly removes any sheen, so it's not that difficult to deal with. I didn't care for the CCs from Playland, but this particular one I really liked. It's still the same texture as the Playland CCs, as compared to the original ones that were waxier. Still haven't tried it on my lips yet.

5 Alarm was the big surprise - a very pretty soft, but still somewhat bright, orange-red - not Scarlet Ibis level orange red, but definitely candy red. Very dainty, with a Huggables level of sheerness, but very smooth and even. It was very doll like and pretty and will work great all year round. If orange reds pull orange on you, I'd say be a little careful about this one. My natural lips are red enough that it looked red, not orange or coral, but it is translucent so bear all of that in mind. Definitely one of the "good" Lustres.

I feel you. That is why I prefer to buy Mac online. There never seems to be enough people in the stores. I hate being ignored or feeling like I'm being rushed because the MUA wants to move on the the next person and the next person because they are on commision.

Its dark here so it's hard to get really good pics but...

Marilyn BP - left, HS - right
HS is a tad lighter not as peachy as the Marilyn BP. It blends onto the skin beautiful & can be used to highlight in a matte way & be used to brighten under eyes/redness. I bought 2

These are heavy swatches of the BP's so it will not look like this on your skin.

5-Alarm lipstick - is such a very very pretty baby orange red. Ooh, I LOVE it on my lips!!!! Its very smooth & it is on the sheer side but in a good way.

I hope you've been doing well! Sounds like you are definitely staying fabulous! I'm glad you love everything and thanks for that great, very accurate swatch of 5 Alarm - I was surprised there have been so few swatches and photos of it online.

Marilyn BP tends to go a little heavy on me - more of a retro style finish, but I can wear it full face. This one is a much lighter texture. But this one is also a lighter color, so it's too stark for the whole face for me. It's the bomb for putting it where I'd put a highlighter plus some extra areas, like the forehead and more of the cheeks, but it looked a little stark down the nose and not for the lower face under the cheekbones. Somehow, old Elude manages to be full face unlike this one, probably because it has more reflective luminosity, while this one is mucho matte. I haven't backed it up, because I figure I will use less of it per application than some of my others, but let's see how long that lasts, lol. All in all, this was a real surprise collection and not just for fair skinned gals, although talking to some of the other darker skinned gals, this BP is a no go.

Hi doll!!! Cheers. I'm doing well thanks for asking! Still a 5-Alarm lol! was so happy to read how much you loved that lipstick shade. I hope you are doing amazing as always friend.

I agree with the BP descriptions. This one is definitely more matte but I love it.
