. I really appreciate this explanation. I love red lipsticks too so it sounds like SJ is going to be agreeable. But I'll have to look at T's swatches again and decide from there. Thank you.

T's photo of SJ is a little off - it's not really as light or bright in person. It's got this sort of glowing color so that it's deeper by a few steps than her photo, but it's also vibrant, so you see that lighter effect as depth of color as the light hits your face. In her photo, the bright studio lights wash out the generally deeper effect and only bring out the brightness. Karen's full face photo is more accurate overall.

I think it will be more pink than lavender too!! The purple part might make a bit it a more cool toned pink though!

The purple part indeed just makes it more cool toned. It's too sheer to just pick the purple side and get purple blush. It's a very pretty, very pastel pink that is nicely sheer and not powdery. AB and Sakura are my only two blushes in this shade, since Full of Joy was way too powdery and chalky for my taste. If you want something more purple, the only MAC option is Evening Stroll Casual Color, and even that isn't purple, but more of a mauve on the cheeks.

Purple blush isn't all that anyhow - it's pretty much impossible to make it look anything but costumey and artificial. It's a cool look, but definitely just for night clubbing and the like. I'm speaking as someone who had all sorts of full on purple blushes in the 80's hehe.

Thank you!! It is definitely very pink on you. I guess I'll wait and see but I feel I may just grab it before it sells out and just sell it BNIB if it's not what I thought after seeing swatches.

The official photos of the blushes on Allure look really odd. Azalea Blossom is orange, when it's pink to lavender; Ripe Peach looks tan to maroon, when it's yellowish to coral; and Kindergarten Red looks pink when it's supposed to be nude to crimson. I will definitely have to see them in person.

Skipping all the lipsticks and glosses - i rarely wear red [my holy grail red is Deeply Adored], and Oxblood looks too warm toned for me.

I actually like AB better in the plain black round MAC packaging lol I do like the "double boxing" the Toledo lipsticks are packaged in tho

Will be stalking Oxblood on the website and then check the rest of the blushes in person. Right now it's between Azalea Blossom and Kindergarten Red.
Total Skip on Ripe Peach, I have a palette full of peach/orange perm, Le and Le-turned-perm blushes I still have to go through. Not to mention MSF-blushes and special huge blushes like the coral simpson one.

What I'm getting from this collection is Oxblood l/s, Opera l/s, Victoriana l/s and Tenor Voice l/s and Kindergarten Red Blush Ombre. I have thought about getting another Ripe Peach and Azalea Blossom Blush Ombres but then owning one already is good enough for me and I also thought about getting the lipglasses in this collection but I will wait.

I looked it up and I really like it. I think I will end up getting SJ. Unless more swatches with BBQ somehow blow me away. SJ isn't loud looking at all.

I just can't decide between kindergarten red and ripe peach....getting oxblood for sure! But I have the proenza blush that I never use and even tho it's a little darker than RP...not sure I can justify!

I will still check it out in store, but the swatches look so pink...I wanted it more red.
