That's pretty much how it looked on me too when I did the comparison and I'm NW20. That along with the Vanilla scent smelling "off" made it a very disappointing purchase.NC20

I totally agree with u every collection is not for everybody and I have not got my goodies in yet but I agree too about Victoriana begin the stand out that lipsticks is so beautiful to me I have tons of reds and it is pure love I'm sorry this collection was a bummer for u mac has tons of beautiful collections coming up hoping u love some upcoming collectionsHonestly, hope I don't offend anyone but I was majorly disappointed in this collection when I went to the counter this morning. Victoriana is the stand out for me, I got it for my mom. The packaging is stunning, but what's up with 3 super similar reds? Too many choices make people not want to buy (thanks advertising class.) I think that's why the reds are still hanging around on the website. I did find the matte lipsticks (besides Sin) to be super silicon-y feeling, in a really good way. They felt creamier while still keeping a matte finish. That impressed me. Oxblood, to me, is way overrated. Pretty color but while owning Kinda Sexy I just cannot justify this. The ombre blushes look beautiful but the pigmentation just isn't there. I dunno. I think this collection was so easy to skip, which is sad because of the super art deco packaging. This is just my opinion, hope I didn't rain on anyones parade! If I were new to mac and building my collection I'm sure the lipsticks would have been more successful for me. You ladies make this collection look good though, that's for sure! Everyone is looking cute in their new lipsticks!
I'm glad I don't have kinda sexy. I hate getting lipsticks that are too similar to what I have lolI'm C1 in face and body and they looked very similar on me too.
Well, crap. Thanks for the heads up, I haven't been checking on sites... Might have to bite the bullet and get it now >_>I don't know if it will. It seems pretty popular - SO on Nordies, MAC & Bloomies.:fluffy: for now, but all of you look awesome in your purchases Here's hoping Chlorafill Pearlglide gets to CCOs.
Bad Gal RiriHere's my haul :And some swatches: NW43Top to bottom: Pander me Bad girl Riri Oxblood Wetnwild Fergie Bebot love Hug Me
nice haul @MacNcheese (btw I love your username!)Hug Me
Nordstrom will if you have one near you. They will hold it until close. Some MAC stores wilL just depends. Good luck.Iam a bit late for this collection, does anyone know of a store which still has oxblood lipstick? Thanks so much

I was surprised at the lack of people at my store also considering how fast Oxblood sold out on line, Maybe people wanted to sleep in.......I think I overestimated how many people would be at the store. Last time I came early for a collection was the osbournes and there were about 20 people waiting. As of now I'm the only one here! Not too sure what that says about me LOL!
Great haulI caved in and placed a 2nd order for AB, Barbecue, Opera, and Tenor Voice. I used the code NEXT so they'll be here tomorrow. My final haul... all 3 blushes and all 5 new lipsticks! Ugh, I'm really bad at this "low buy" thing. :sigh:
I dont see anything offensive with your assessment of the collection. In fact I rather agree with you on a number of points. The blush was a let down for me. I attempted to swatch ripe peach with my finger and didnt get a lot of pigmentation. It felt as though there was some film that acted like a barrier between the blush and my finger!Honestly, hope I don't offend anyone but I was majorly disappointed in this collection when I went to the counter this morning. great swatches!
great swatches! Do you love OB?Here's my haul :And some swatches: NW43Top to bottom: Pander me Bad girl Riri Oxblood Wetnwild Fergie Bebot love Hug Me
It looks lovely on youFinally received my oxford order from ebay..And honestly I feel it really is overrated, barbecue was a better color but to each it's own.I can't believe I paid 35 for it.Here it is on me my skin tone is asian nc37-nc40.I tried to capture in the best lighting I could.
I like it against your skin tone. Here's a swatch of oxblood for anyone interested in how this looks swatched on medium-light skin tone with redness (I swear I look like Rudolph the red nose reindoor year round!) Its a universally flattering color...id imagine this is why its sold out online. Also reminds me a bit of "Enchanted One" from the alluring aquatics collection. Oh and the lipglass is amazing. Very rich pigmentation although a bit "tacky." Got myself one of those as well
Thanks, I kinda wanted Barbecue, but I have 2 Scarlet Ibis so I'll skip. I love SI, but don't need another!I was iffy about the blush on my NC45 skin so I went in store today instead of dealing online. (sorry wiped swatches of already). My initial plan was Opera, Oxblood, Ripe Peach. Ripe Peach on me was light with sparkle. It was buildable but for $35 I'm not looking for layering. Had an expectation and was disappointed. I'll continue to hunt the original. *le struggle* Kindergarten Red (pink lol) was nice as well. Slightly more pigmented but not a need. I thought I would be crazy about Opera but Tenor turned out to be the better one me. Very flattering clean red. But I was strong enough to talk myself out of it. I picked up Barbecue instead which looks great; felt sultry. Totally polarizing when I put it on. And then I got home and it hit me why I like it so much... It's a dead on dupe for MM Scarlet Ibis. So I'll be returning it. Don't need anymore when I have that, Dangerous, Red Square and Mangrove (which totally fell out the tube! like WTH!) So the only thing I'm keeping is Oxblood and pairing it with Edge to Edge LP. Hope that helps some people still debating.

I've been trying to fight the urge to place a 2nd order since my 1st one last week, but your swatches convinced me to get Tenor Voice, so you're partly to blame. That didn't take long at all to convince yourself
Exactly! I have 2 SI so I'm really upset with myself. Should've stuck to my plan. Thanks, I kinda wanted Barbecue, but I have 2 Scarlet Ibis so I'll skip. Yay!For me, the slight differences matter! I'm looking forward to seeing more swatches of Victoriana on here as we get our orders delivered, that should help you decide! It can be hard to justify more of the same colour family I agree- but this packaging is just too beautiful for me to show restraint.
I'm loving being able to order again - I also realised I could order direct from MAC USA too via Paypal which is good to know.
We haven't even got the Red Collection here - did you get Toxic Tale? I am on the fence...
