They would probably send a label to you and arrange for pickup. Or they might say keep it. It is extremely unlikely they expect you to pay for return ship. Especially when you are doing the right thing but letting them know.

I would definitely tell them about the mistake. I'm not exaggerating, when I'm saying that I don't want to lose sleep over makeup, because that is exactly what would happen, if I feel like a thief. I don't lie, I can't lie and even the smallest lies that everyone has said in their lives make me feel extremely guilty and worried for long periods of time. Of course, I would hope that they let me keep them but if not, I would send them back.

I had duplicate illamasqua orders one time, as my first attempt at ordering went through despite me not paying for it. I kept the box in my room for a few weeks not knowing what to do with it, eventually I emailed them sounding kind of outraged like 'now I have to take the time to mail this back to you when it's your mistake!' And they mailed back apologising for the inconvienience and said I could keep them, so then I sold all my extras on eBay guilt free! But in my case it was a little different because I was afraid I was eventually going to get billed for the failed payment on the first order so that's why I fessed up, but hey no extra paper trail for those Tom ford shadows... That'd be a different decision ;)

Wow u ladies been getting extras never once happened to me Now in the case of money I had a bank teller and a store clerk get me extra money $200 I told her of her mistake cause im not about somebody who may have a family to support losing a job over $200 I can see both side but me begin me I would send it back if the company makes it easy for me meaning I'm not going out of my way to send something back that was not my fault free return shipping

I had something along these lines happen to me about a year ago with Nordstrom, where I received a wrapped-in-plastic set of 3 TF Willful lipsticks instead of the one I had ordered. I called them and they asked me to return the other two, which I did. Now in the case of Neimans I would make sure my return would be free when I made that phone call, because I wouldn't want to be charged $7.50 for someone else's mistake.
Maybe they would send you a label & then charge you $7.50 anyway. I watch them like a hawk because most times one hand has no idea what they other hand just emailed you or told you on the phone. ;)

seeee this is why I should've been like pretty and shut my mouf-however I tend to think out loud and dnt care to think of judgement cuz im human (and again I say what others are afraid to say lol) :durr:  but finding a wallet with ID is definitely different than getting a box of extra's. One time I shopped at an outlet store 3 hrs away from my home. when I got home I noticed on the receipt something rung up for LESS than what I anticipated (no sale nor coupon presented) AND one item that was in my bag wasn't on the receipt....should I have drove 3 hrs back to that store? or call back to a store that cant accept payments over the phone? ummm NO!!! At the end of the day "God knows my heart" and im open to receiving my blessings! now if im at the store paying attention and notice my item wasn't rung up YES I will say "oh u forgot to ring this up" cuz im AWARE of the mistake or what's been overlooked. If I find a dollar in the streets im also NOT posting up signs around the neighborhood "anybody missing a dollar?" :haha: Again....that's just me!! Now let the tabernacle say AMEN!!!

I love Brown(out). I love all the MJ gel liners really. They're creamy and smudgeable but once they set they don't transfer (on me). I got that 7-piece skyliner set from Sephora and I've been using them non-stop almost daily. They get a big thumbs up from me!
Second all this--I got that MJ Holiday set of eye liners and adore them. They go on with such a great texture, love the look of them. Off topic, but the three new lip pencils had a great gel texture too. Sadly, there are only three colors of lip pencils, and none that i really like. I can't wait till they release more colors.

Hi Vineetha. Were you on their mobile site by any chance? I just talked to neimans via Live Chat. She confirmed that shipping is still free, but returns with the Smart Label are only free if you use the NM or BG card. From a **desktop computer** when you click on the Free Returns blurb next to "Neiman Marcus" on the upper left side of their home page you get this pop-up:

http://www.neimanmarcus.com/categor...15.html?icid=headerpromo_FreeShippingB_012614

It says this:

ENJOY FREE SHIPPING ON US![SUP]*[/SUP]Plus, receive Free Returns when you use your NM or BG credit card.
*Free shipping on most items. Taxes apply to some orders. For a small percentage of orders—such as oversized items, items shipped from vendors, or shipments outside of the United States—shipping charges may apply. $7.50 return shipping applied to purchases made with other forms of payment if a Neiman Marcus shipping label is used. For complete delivery, shipping, return and exchange details, including cost and delivery time, visit NeimanMarcus.com and click on “Assistance” or call 1.800.944.9888.

Their mobile site did not say this about the NM card the last time I checked, which is very confusing, so I asked her about that too. She said the mobile site has not been updated yet but the policy is the same regardless of the site you purchase from - returns with the Smart Label are only free if you use a NM card to purchase. She told me the policy changed on January 22, 2015.

Back on topic...I caved and ordered the plum duo!

Yay on the plum duo! I got mine today. Havent gotten a chance to use it but swatched I am loving the duochrome effect! may have to cave in and get the jade duo too!!
girlhaha.gif

Hiiii, I waited till i could check on a laptop but looks like it is back to free shipping and returns on the laptop version too. Though there is a small asterix on free returns that says it might exclude bigger packages/international deliveries. It no longer mentions the 7.50 charge!!

There are some really good people in this world. Hubs and I were on vacation---about 6 hours from our primary residence. We decided to refuel the car before getting on the highway heading home. After on the road for a couple of hours we decided to stop for lunch. When Hubs went to pay the bill---NO wallet. We tore the car apart looking. NOTHING. We headed back to our original location and specifically the gas station. We looked all around and then went into the adjoining mini-mart. Hubs doubted someone would return the hundreds of dollars and credit cards but he just wanted his driver's license. The clerk said, "oh we have your wallet--you left it on to of the pump and a man found it and left it with us". "We tried finding a phone number to let you know". EVERYTHING was intact. The man who found the wallet and returned it was a Boy Scout troop leader from New Jersey! There are some really good people in this world.

SOOOO happy that people were honest! Heck, even the people the boy gave the wallet to. I can imagine the horror it struck in you & hubs. I know it would me. This has restored my faith in the public a bit more. Thanks for sharing that.

Now I would have taken your cards and run to the nearest makeup counter

I feel like some people, perhaps intentionally, perhaps not, are being rather judgemental. If you're in a store, sure let the cashier know you underpaid. When it's online, it can be a hassle to return things, and I'm guessing 99% of the time they will say just keep it. Like, you can tell them, but please don't act like it's super immoral to not. There are far worse things people do that are immoral than accepting something that was accidentally sent to you. I'm guessing the op didn't expect some people to respond in what I consider s rude tone. Like. Give your opinion, but don't act like you have better morals. Morals and values are relative and vary by person. Sorry if I'm sounding kind of harsh, but I really dislike people attacking someone in the name of "morals" when all they did was ask for an opinion.
