It's based on the demographic. Macy's will cary all the Disney collab collections, and Nordies will carry the designer collab collections. Because the majority of "artists" that work at MAC anymore don't know jack!

That reminded me, went to freestanding store in West London and one of the SAs there had the teal pigment on her lips. I was thinking 'isn't teal not supposed to be used on the lips'. I didn't want say anything to embarrass her in the store, so I picked up my items and went my way while wearing my lip safe teal lipstick

What they do outside of the counter is one thing. But when they're at the counter, they are to follow all standard counter and product practices, both on themselves and on customers. So no using glitter on the eyes, fluidline on the waterline, or any other non-safe product on areas it hasn't been approved for use on.

Their 20% off F&F sale ends tonight and Nordstrom is price-matching. A lovely girl here told me about the Nordy sale. I ordered an eye pencil and their Grindhouse sharpener. Both on backorder. Thinking of a lip pencil. I like the primer in them.

Ive been buying way too much so I have to skip that sadly lol That's great Nordies is doing that though Their lip pencils(the 1 I tried lol) are nice I just started getting back into lining my lips.

I am catching up on this board... BUT i am bummed. They gave me the wrong lip glass :-( I wanted the one with the blue sparkles, but they gave me Glass Slipper. Of course all the shops i've called are sold out.

Anyone want to swap an unopened Glass Slipper for a clean Happily Ever After?

Urban Decay. Right now they are having a friends and family on their own website so Nordstrom is price-matching and offering the same discount on their products. I love their stuff, especially their eye shadow palettes. They are pricier than MAC on the lipsticks and liners but with the 20% it's about the same. Their Revolution lippies are so smooth and nice, some great nude/neutral colors too. Their 24/7 eye liners are great. Got one in an Ipsy Glam Bag once and love it.

I love Urban Decay too. I have Naked 3 and 1. I love the hole Naked line and own most of it. I agree with you. The lip liners and lipsticks are nice too. I got the postcard in the mail last week.

I think Erin posted earlier that the eye glosses have been deemed to not be lip safe so I don't know why the SA would tell you that.

Ughhh this sounds like my dilemna with a package over the holidays. For almost 2 weeks my package said that it had left the town next door presumably to be passed on to the local post office for delivery. USPS did not scan the package when it got to the post office, when it went back out for delivery or when it was delivered. So it was sitting at the front desk for almost 2 weeks and we didn't know because as far as the tracking said, it hadn't been delivered!

That happened with me on Thursday. I wanted one Mystery Princess and one Coupe D'Chic and I ended up with 2 CDC! Ugh I didn't realize until I got home. Oh well, I'm hoping to trade my 2nd CDC for Evil Stepmother pigment (winkwinknudgenudge, anyone interested? lol.)!

OK, i've caught up with all the posts. Thanks for the comparisons of Summer Opal, Coupe d'Chic, and Mystery Princess.

I tried to keep the number of items i purchased down. And I'm happy with the products i tried so far.

-- Royal Ball Lipstick - just pink enough not to be nude, just nude enough not to be too pink, i really like it. (i don't have problems with Lustres)
-- Mystery Princess Beauty Powder - so lovely! Not for all over the face, at least not my face, but i can use it from the cheeks up.
-- Silly me got both Eye Glosses - haven't tried them out yet, but i'm looking forward to playing with them.
...and that darn wrong lipglass, Glass Slipper, which i didn't open, just pulled the whole tube part way out of the box enough to see it wasn't Happily Ever After :-( (i phoned around and nobody local has HEA)

I also got 3 things from Bao Bao Wan at the same time:
-- Lavender Jade which is another disappointment - i haven't put it on yet, just looked at it in the tube, pinker than i'd hoped. I'll stick with my NYX macaron in Lavender.
-- Romantic Breakdown, which is nuder, warmer, and much less pink, as well as sheerer on me than Royal Ball, so i'm happy to have both.
-- Bao Bao's Jewels eyeshadow palette which is

I also picked up some items that were in my MAC on-line shopping cart, so i don't have to wait 8 to 10 days for them to get here.

It was a real trek for me - i left my house before 7 AM to take a bus to the BART to SF, which took over one hour. I have a herniated disc in my back, so standing outside leaning on my cane for 2 hours was a bit painful. If i'd realized LJ would let me down, i'd have ordered the other two BBW items on-line, and just gone to my local MAC for Cinderella. Oh, well, it was an adventure and i had a nice time afterwards, having breakfast/lunch in Nordstrom (a crab salad with big chunks of fresh crab) and a great time with Gail, the nice Diptyque perfume lady, and i bought a perfume from her.
