ETA: You didn't even ask me. Whoops! LOL
That's a really good suggestion. I could definitely see that. I hadn't thought about casting before now because I only read about the film the other day. I was totally surprised that they went ahead and did it, but I guess without Gillian Flynn's involvement it wasn't as publicized? I could be wrong. I bet all her hardcore fans knew it.

LOVE her!!!  That's who I'll envision while I read it!!!
:cheer: It's funny because the narrator for the book kinda sounds like Charlize to me, but she definitely is not how I picture Libby. Plus, there's an important part of the story near the end that makes Charlize a really odd choice. They'll probably have to change the movie for it or pray that we have a really strong suspension of disbelief.

I heard about the movie long before I read the book. After Gone Girl I looked up Gillian and worked from there. She didn't write the screenplay for Dark Places and that's why I'm skeptical of the whole thing. Apparently, Sharp Objects is supposed to become a TV movie at some point.

Awww...I was already casting ex-Melrose Place actresses in my head but they're too old for the main role now so maybe an ex-90210 (the recent version) girl?
I made a face I cannot describe to you right now. I was thinking a good choice for her would be the female lead on the blacklist. That's if we want this thing to be legit. Otherwise get Tori Spelling or something. She's not doing anything these days.

I can see you're being very careful not to give anything away.

Maybe they'll really transform Charlize. I can't imagine her taking a role unless she could give a performance that's award worthy---she's just that vain.

Cover Fx just released a contour pallet in a wider variety of tones than ABH http://m.sephora.com/product/P393632?requestSource=%2Fcontour-kit-P393632
It's been in my cart for a few days...I asked about it in the WOC thread. I think here too. I think I'll just order it. Saw it in person on Fri and that bronze color is hotness!

I'm checking to see if I have Dark Matter on my list of books to read.

Anyone see that Smashbox released cream contour pencils? The dark colored looked grey/olive to me, I almost picked it up. But I'm not really feeling buying makeup right now. I just put that becca highligher in my cart and it is just sitting there.

I'm pissed Anastasia isn't releasing the dark contour palette in Sephora but she'll release light and tan:mad:  Wtf maybe darker shades don't sell well because no one can access them readily. Are we just supposed to put blind trust in any company? I know I'm not buying jack from Anastasia's website because I've heard their shipping is a joke. Until those contour palettes and liquid lipsticks are available at Sephora I can do without.
I ordered from her site once, one of those blogger eye shadow palettes, maybe Amrezy's, and don't remember shipping being bad because I hate paying shipping period, lmaoo! Wait I bought two, maybe I met the minimum. Anywho I agree about accessibility with the darker shades. Period. Tired of the darkest contour color matching my skintone. It's getting better, as a matter of fact I noticed on Fri that a lot of the contour palettes now are catering to darker complexions finally. Even the Sephora one (weird to read reviews where women are saying something is "too dark" or recommending it to women with darker skin!) I'm leaning towards the Cover FX N Deep one though. I want to try ABH's liquid lips, I see Macy's has it, I may have to check it out...shoot, reviews are shaky. Bleh.

[@]shontay07108[/@] do you read Dennis Lehane? I'm not a huge fan but there was a scene in the film adaptation of Gone, Baby, Gone that made my stomach drop and gave me utter chills. It was the most awful thing but objectively it was very well done to get such a strong reaction.

The book is definitely better than a Lifetime movie. I just always seem to see ex-MP actresses doing the rounds for Lifetime. The Blacklist girl would be suited to the lead for sure.

I read shutter island mystic river before the movies came out. I love them both. Not a fan of gone baby gone, book or movie. I stopped checking for him after that. I can't recall the scene you might be talking about. I haven't thought about that book in a long time.
