I've wondered the same thing. I always take these reviews with a grain of salt.I wonder if she's extra critical about the products she purchases herself.

When I saw her eye-look for the quint-- I was shell shocked. It looked like she didn't put anything on her eye... Literally! I don't understand. I swatched these on my hand in person. There is no way it could look like that on the lid. I've said that for years!!!

I don't think I've ever met a product that was colour-accurate to its swatch on her website.I always appreciate her swatch gallery and dupes and such.
Feeling MUCH better:frenz: You'll have to treat yourself to something amazing to make up for this loss!!! I had a very bad reaction once when I tried to use MAC Backtrack as a base----OMG! Traded in new moon for the new blusher in the shade Alezane! It's my first chanel blushi love the color...but it's highly fragranced. Is that normal for her blushers?
I find some to be more "smelly" than others. It'll wear off as time goes on. I have one that's a year old and while it still smells a little bit its not as smelly. But most Chanel products are highly fragranced.Traded in new moon for the new blusher in the shade Alezane! It's my first chanel blush i love the color...but it's highly fragranced. I just got a headache weird cause I can usually handle fragrance...Yep - Chanel blushes are rose scented. It can be distracting for me to catch a whiff of it during the day as I turn my head.
I hope it wears off soon.. I'm normally not sensitive to fragranced makeup, but this smell is giving me a headache. It's just not a useful blog to me, and I haven't been there in months.
Clicking the above link: La Bouleversante, which gets a C from her, I have and adore!
For someone who doesn't like the new site---you spend a lot of time on it
How fabulous would it be for her and her subscribers if she used a makeup artist with skills to demo theit's always with every eye look
i skipped something from chanel years ago after seeing her look it was so sheer you could barely see the colors. and then a year or two later i saw this quad at the counter and was so shocked how pigmented it was
she doesn't use eye primer (stupid)
Yup
It's easier on mobile for me
YAY!!!! And YES!!!!! It's the new JC for fall!!! Good exchange. I love this one. The fragrance dissipates prettyTraded in new moon for the new blusher in the shade Alezane! It's my first chanel blushi love the color...but it's highly fragranced. Is that normal for her blushers?
Beautiful Sis!!!!!! Do you have the NP too?
Sorry Kate, but I didn't purchase Pensive. I'm a habitual user of lip primer or balm with ALL of my lipsticks because I tend to have dry lips. My fav is Chanel Rouge CocoI notice she gave Pensive a D+ and says it is slightly drying and settles into lines. I like the shade from swatches I've seen on line but I have very dry lips so am wondering if I should get it or not. I don't really trust her reviews. And I'm curious how the ladies that have tried Pensive , found this particular RA? Thanks.
Thanks!Beautiful Sis!!!!!! Do you have the NP too?
Thanks Medgal, I also use lip balms on its own and under lipstick but my lips are still dry. One of the few lip products that I find actually improves the condition of my lips is the Dior Addict fluid stick. I'll have to try the Rouge Coco Baume.
