Has anyone heard anything about there being some lips & boys repromotes among the new full size lipsticks? I was about to order Casino and Lilac Nymph, but looking at the images on Nordies and Psych's swatches, I'm suddenly thinking they look an awful lot like Blake and Alexander. Sweet Mystery looks similar to Peter. Dark and Stormy looks similar to Pavlos. So Vain looks similar to Guillermo. I was thinking of doing a big haul but now I'm worried I already have all these lipsticks in mini form. Either way, probably a sign I don't need more lipsticks. hboy:   Edit: I compared the promo images from Lips & Boys to the ones of the new lippies on Nordies. The promo images for Casino, Sweet Mystery, Dark & Stormy and So Vain look exactly the same as the promo images for Blake, Peter, Pavlos and Guillermo. Also Flash of Pink=John, Guilty Pleasure=William, Seventh Sin =Omar, Showgirl=Francesco and Sunset=Tomas. Maybe Nordies or TF have just made a mistake with the promo images, but aside from Seventh Sin=Omar (looks more like Gustavo to me), they all seem to match pretty well.

Sure! I'm confused bc I see that it looks frosty on Nord & I truly recall that it wasn't. I'm really tempted to go back and swatch it while I'm out and about by the boutique today bc I definitely don't want to misinform you!

I remember watching a segment on 60 Minutes about high end eyeglass frames. Regardless of the designer, Chanel, TF, whomever, they are made at the same factory in Italy. Using the same materials. I have nothing to base the following on except for being the daughter of an accountant..... If TF is owned by Lauder, Mac is owned by Lauder, are these products being made in the same factory? The lipstick colors are close to each other, but perhaps more expensive additives are being added to TF? As I was putzing yesterday in my makeup sanctuary, to me, there are many Mac lipsticks the same color as TF. No they aren't as smooth as TF, but the color to my untrained eye is an exact match.  Daddy also said the little Boy's containers probably cost more to make, and since they have a limited use vs. the across the board use of the Men containers, that is why the extra 1.00 in cost. As in when you make the cast or mold of a container, the more you are able to use the same mold, it makes the accountants happy.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say perhaps not. That type of co-mingling widens the margin for error. I agree, there are some very distinct differences in product
formula, packaging and ultimately, target markets. Color is one thing, but comfort from a superior formula is worth the cost to me. All food for thought---now lets buy
some makeup!!!

Bravo! That makes a lot of sense and you may well be right. Wonder how we can find out for sure.

I can let you know for Guillermo vs. So vain....G is coming today and sv next week....I hope it's not the same, but I was wondering the same thing after I bought sv.

[COLOR=0000FF]   I think the cheek & bronzer brushes are my favorite brushes of all time.  i don't know the science behind the cheek brush but it grabs the product like no other.[/COLOR] [COLOR=0000FF]   It's pretty amazing.[/COLOR] [COLOR=0000FF]   You might want to try putting it on in small amounts and then build it to your desired level of intensity.  I put a little on and then work on other things, allowing it to dry[/COLOR] [COLOR=0000FF]   & set between applications.  [/COLOR][COLOR=0000FF]If I don't wear it on it's own I use it as a base for other shadows.[/COLOR]    [COLOR=0000FF]Yes, you do!!![/COLOR]

I think you would love Quiver. It is pigmented and a bit cooler.
My faves are Frolic, Smitten and Chasity , the later 2 which are sheerer. I use them over Vanilla Suede or over Frolic or Naked Coral! Naked Coral with Smitten on top is fabulous!
I have pigmented lips as well and blanc them out cause I like pale lips!

Can you confirm or deny that the new group of lipsticks are just the lips & boys with different names?

Without question TF has the BESTEST formula for lipsticks!!!!! So many choices, so many colors.....I keep looking into my bank account. The cash fairy has not stopped by to make a deposit yet. Truly I love being able to live through your pics and thoughts on such pretty things!!!!!
