Chanel Rouge Noir Absolument - Holiday 2015

Yeah, I got the Rouge Noir lippie as well (and even bought a backup), so I'm totally sold on this collection. And I just hate it, that we'll have to wait until forever again. Apparently the autumn collection will be out here in October, which is late already. The big question will be if we even get the Rouge Noir collection? At least it won't be available in the usual online shops I guess. I ordered all holiday items in recent years specifically at Breuninger Stuttgart because they were nowhere else in sight.
Do you have a Chanel boutique that you could work with? Some of the US boutiques are imposing strange limits, like only shipping to customers who have purchased with them in the past. But if you can find a friendly sales associate in a Chanel boutique you will be sure to get it--there is no way that they will be left out of this loop! :)
The Brussels Chanel boutique doesn't even have cosmetics. We usually get the holiday collections, and otherwise, Paris is only 3 hours away (1,5 by train!)

Vamp 18 left side from the prior Holiday collection and my old Rouge Noir on the right. The Vamp does a slight shimmer to it. I think I got the Rouge Noir maybe a year or two ago. I think the Vamp might have been around the same time. I remember I was confused, my normal state....that both were 18. Hope this helps.

Haha! Confusion is understandable given that Chanel assigned the same number to two different colors. Genius, right?!

@urbis, definitely an expensive and all-Chanel holiday season for me :)

I have been informed, not my conjecture that Rouge Noir nail polish will be a cream with no shimmer or sparkle in it by the God's at Chanel. Malice polish is to this day I would run into my burning house to save it!!!!! Even if it is a cream finish, it will lovely, and then for those who have the Chanel diamond top coat from a ga-billion years ago it would add a light touch of sparkle on top. By the way, my new avatar was a b'day cake I was at. Even the pearls were edible and the box. No cardboard in this cake. I took a pic when no one was looking......

I'm very curious about the top coat in this collection. I'm wondering what kind of effect it gives. I was wondering about your avatar. Thanks for telling us. What are the colored items around it?

It was a cake shaped like the box you get from Chanel, then additional cupcakes and sugar pearls were placed over the box lid. It was really cool. Yes, I poked at it to see if it was a real cake. Then had an oh sh** moment when I realized it was and left a tiny dent in it. I would have never cut the cake. Too pretty to cut up and serve. I will try to find out what exactly the top coat is for the Holiday. I am hoping it is NOTHING like Dior Tye Dye top coat, that was a mess.

Hello Curious George! I would have done the same when no one is looking! I have a habit of touching floral displays at spas and restaurants to make sure they are real.

Dior Tie Dye was a hot mess. I trust that Chanel will cough up a much more desirable top coat.

My guess is that the top coat will be a darker red base with flecks of gold...similar in concept to Grenat 22 from the 2003 Lumieres d’Artifices Collection. Grenat 22 is a top coat with a cherry base and flecks of red. Below is a pic of Grenat 22 courtesy of Maria from Marias Nail Art. More of Grenat 22 may be found here: http://mariasnailpolishblog.blogspot.com/2015/05/chanel-diamond-21-and-grenat-22.html

So perhaps it is the same thing as the diamonds in the clear base??? To me, again I am not a professional in this field, just an avid shopper. The stuff in the bottle looks like the ombre effect. Which is why I am thinking more the Tye Dye effect???? Only time will tell....

When I was little, even today when I go into a store with my Daddy he will demand I put my hands in my pockets. Since I love to touch stuff....have reached out to the Chanel Goddess. Hopefully she will know, if not I will go another Chanel Goddess who knows lots....

Got the skinny from two different sources who went to class for this collection. Ombre is a transparent (clear to soft burgundy) base with red glitter. It does provide an instant ombre effect. Unlike the Tye Dye top coat when you have to be in my limited opinion a nail artist to make it look good. This is a brush on and go and the ombre effect appears with the glitter!!!!! Both sources this is to die for!!!! I trust both and the age difference between them is like 25 years. So it will appeal to all ages.

Cold here, as in like 45 last night. So time to dig out the vampy colors!!!! I love Fall!!!!! I will never forget when I went to college in South Dakota, BEFORE Halloween, I woke up one morning with 24 inches of snow outside my window. Yes, I thought I was seeing things from too much to drink the night before. Nope, it was really there.

Yikes. I'm coming to Chicago the last week in September to escape the mayhem that will be Philadelphia with the Pope's visit.. Hope the weather won't be too cold. Can't wait to explore all the shopping the city has to offer. On a totally unrelated topic, is the Diptyque Boutique far from downtown?

Correction, it is "ombre red with sparkles" for the new top coat. Read the info I got too fast...sorry for any confusion.

Michigan Ave and the shops on Oak Street are where to go. Water Tower for me, is not worth the time. NM, Nordy's, Saks, and of course 900 N Michigan, with Chanel right across the street. Then up on Oak, dangerous for your bank account. Chanel has an actual spa in Bloomie's at 900 N. If you would the contact for the head person, let me know, I will pm you.

Thank you for the intel! Chanel's pic of the top coat with the three layers of clear at the top, dark red in the middle, and gold sparkles on the bottom reminds me of YSL's tie and dye top coats from a few years ago.
