I think the problem is that his summer collection was so amazing! It's hard to top that. (Granted, this collection is still pretty mediocre lol. I'm only interested in the duo for now.)

I got a text from a TF SA informing me about the new lipsticks along w/ a photo but I'm not interested in new TF lippies....not after 9 CLs. Maybe a couple from Chanel
holiday but I'm not even sure about that.

CL took over for me with lipsticks as well so I have no interest in the new mattes anymore.

6 CL lipsticks will certainly hold me over till Spring/Summer.

Yes, BD is coming in the Noir packing, I saw it and even touched it.....so I am out there, but it exists.

I am in the same boat as you. Plus when you spend $90 for a lipstick you feel compelled to wear that brand everyday.

I don't feel compelled to wear them---I love them so much that I wear them---I have to FORCE myself NOT to wear them. I have brand new lipsticks from other brands
that I have not touched and I just ordered two Chanels. I just need to go sit in a corner and stop this madness!!!

You ladies may already know this, but I just peeped the TF holiday collection available for preorder on NM. (Ships Oct 26). I see everything except for the lipstick. I doubt there will be a mad rush for this meh collection, so I hope it's ok to post here. I'm contemplating the duo, but I'm still not fully sold. I like the nail polish as well, but it can wait....

Not what I am hearing, as in TF website has been hit hard with orders. Obviously nothing like the original Boy's and Fall campaign. I like the Noir collection. Work it with the Chanel Vamp for Holiday and it will be fun.

I think this whole preorder mode is to get as many sales as possible before the products hit multiple merchants. Even Nordies is getting into the game because they've
been shut out by late product/collection offerings. In many instances, by the time Nordies had a new collection up, we had already purchased our items elsewhere.

Yep also it kind of forces people who are interested to buy now in fear of the item becoming sold out once it hit the stores.

It's certainly a marketing tactic.

Totally agree, NM is notorious for the the whole preorder tactic. I've fallen for it many times. BG loves to do it & call it an exclusive bc they have the product a few days before other stores lol

I don't mind it if I'm told in advance that it's a pre-order or backordered---then it's my choice to proceed or not. Macy's was waiting until you checked out and then informing you that the item was backordered but didn't afford a way to cancel the item---unless you called. That happened to me one time and I threatened to expose them for this tactic of false advertisement and near bait & switch. I was livid!!!
